ACDelcoAdvantage 46C1112A Steering Linkage Idler Arm

Good quality, already loaded with grease and easy to install. It might be a bit hard to pma e si ce radiator hose is close and leaves a small room to use a ratchet or torque but a regular tool would do the job. I removed the radiator hose because I like to torque to manufacturer specs and by removing the hose I have the room for the torque wrench.

I like replacing my parts with OEM parts because I can count on the quality. Often times, if you buy parts from the major autoparts dealers, you get parts made offshore where I believe the quality control is suspect. Even though they offer lifetime guarantees, who wants to do the job twice.This part is identical in quality to the one I removed from my 1999 Yukon SLT and I expect that it will last over 200,000 miles like the original one did. Wish I could say that the Yukon will make it that long.The bad- The nut that came with mine was the wrong thread pitch. The have changed the threads to attach the idler arm. The provided nut fit on my old part but not the new one. Fortunately, I had one to use since my truck was torn apart and it was after hours, unfortunately it wasn't a locking nut so I had to use a lock washer.I would still recommend buying this but would recommend checking the nut before you take your truck apart. I assume mine was a fluke.

I bought this part in May or 2020. In Jan of 21 i ordered a brand new steering gear box and leveling kit for the truck as well then scheduled a front end alignment for the next day. The shop told me my idler link arm was no good and had lots of play in it and i needed a new one. Well this was already brand new, I contacted AC DELCO directly (per the instructions from amazon return policy) and the 2 people i spoke to were VERY HELPFUL in explaining to me that amazon was 100% responsible for replacing this part PER AMAZONS "FINE PRINT". AC DELCO walked me step by step in how to find the "fine print" to the amazon return policy and that amazon would indeed push back and say they wouldn't return it. I then called amazon back and 2 supervisors later they finally replaced my part for no cost (they tried to make me pay restocking fee) and sent it out the next day. The reason im writing this is amazon over and over said they have no warranty on automotive parts past 2 weeks of purchase but as the AC DELCO man pointed out amazon WAS 100% on the hook for the replacement parts!

It looks good and after greased and installed it felt tight. Almost the same as original part.

^^^That's how a car part headline is supposed to read folks!^^^You'll need an impact gun to get the idler arm attached. Otherwise the stem will just spin as you tighten the nut using a standard ratchet.The impact gun also is a huge help in removing the bolts that hold the bracket to the truck frame.
