Frontier Co-op Ground Chipotle, 2.15 Ounce, Dried, Smoked Peppers, Rich Aroma, Smokey & Earthy For Southwest & Mexican Foods

First of all, don't pay attention to reviews that confuse Chipotle Morita and Jalapeno. All Chipotle comes from Jalepeno. For simplicity; Chipotle Morita is a once smoked jalepeno and Chipotle Meco is a twice smoked jalepeno. I think that is what is confusing some people on taste. If you compare the 2 brands in my pictures, The Spice Way (TSW)is on top, the Frontier Co-op is on the bottom (plz don't pay attention to markings on the paper plate). You can clearly see the Frontier is much darker. The Spice Way is what I am used to seeing in other C.Morita brands and has a great flavor. The Frontier Co-op (FCO) is much smokier and much hotter. Not cayenne hot by any means but definitely spicier than your average Morita. FCO does not advertise to be a C.Meco but it is a lot closer to that flavor profile (it doesn't say it is a C.Morita either).Bottom line - They are both excellent and I think both have a place in your BBQ pantry. I'll probably gravitate to TSW for most of my family BBQ because my wife doesn't like a lot of spice but loves the flavor of Morita. I might sneak some FCO into her next rack of ribs just to be sure ;-). Personally, I like strong, smokey flavors and would opt more often for the FCO. It is quite expensive though. Both are good chipotles but with different flavor profiles.

Quality is great, good value for the money. The jar was fresher; not dried out in one big clump like other spices I buy online or at the grocery store.It has a little kick but doesn't feel like your mouth on fire. I will buy this product again.

Tasty. Just the right amount of spice. Container shakes out well. Easy to handle. In glass. The perfect combination of spices and seems fresh to me.

I really enjoy the flavor; they are fresh and quite potent. I think the price is expensive as towards grinding your own but my King Soopers doesn't have a very well stocked ethnic aisle(s).

These are smoked Jalapeño peppers and NOT chipotle. That being said, the product is excellent, full of flavor and pretty hot, parental discretion advised.

Smoky chipolte seasoning with moderate heat. Won't "scar" your tastebuds, but has plenty of spicy zing. Great in chile.

This Frontier ground Chipotle is great! It is a perfect amount of spiciness to add to your dishes. I use a little on my eggs in the mornings and it adds a savory kick of flavor to them. Can't recommend highly enough! Buy and try for yourself!
