I accidentally put it in the dishwasher and the only thing that came off was the printing at the bottom, but otherwise I think it's fine as long as you don't do it too hot. It works really well and it keeps your food insulated

This Mira food container has stood the test of time! Purchased for school lunch in 1st grade due to my daughter wanting to take soup during the fall/winter months in her school lunch. This was almost daily for 5-6 months. She is now in 7th grade and the container still keeps the soup warm, but the outside is getting tacky and some of the color is wearing off. It's never gone through the dishwasher, so if you're hoping for long-term use, I'd suggest hand washing. Purple seemed to suit her long ago; coming back for a duo set of light blue/olive so that when her Dad and her go skiing they can each have a warm snack when taking a slope break. I highly recommend this product. As others have mentioned, I pre-warm the container with boiling water, lay lid on top, while the soup heats on stove or micro, then replace water with soup around 7am and it's still warm at Noon-ish when she has lunch.

The good things: the color is great (we have a violet/lilac color), holds the heat really well, not super fat and fits into kid’s lunch bag well. Despite instructions, I’ve been washing it in the dishwasher - bottle on the 2nd shelf and lid on the top/3rd rack. I wouldn’t wash it on the bottom shelf. I understand that it probably won’t last as long that way, but convenience is important to me.The bad: the colors that touch the surface of jar leak onto it and don’t come off. So if you get something on it (for example, pasta sauce) clean it off right away.Overall: I’ll definitely buy another one or more of these in the future. The size is great, they keep the heat really well. I put boiling water into it for a few minutes before putting hot food. My child says that the food is still hot when she’s eating it 5.5 hours later. We’ve used it every day Mo-Fri over the last 2 months so far.

I'm not one to typically leave a review unless I'm impressed. But I've been using this for over a year and needed to replace the seals on it. Guess what, they sell the parts one their website! It'd be cool it they were on Amazon too but I'm glad I don't have to trash it because of a simple priority seal.
