Riverstone Audio, 6N3P-E Matched Pair (2 tubes) - Vintage NOS Vacuum Tubes Replacement for 6N3 / 6N3P / 5670 / 5670W / 396A / 2C51 - Amplitrex Tested/Matched - Platinum Grade Pair (6N3P-E)

The tubes arrived well packaged as seen in the seller pictures. The box came tamper protected, sealed with Riverstone Audio's own seal.Installed on Loxjie P20, the tubes generated warm and organic sound as expected from tubes. Highs were tamed with edges softened without losing details, mids were emphasized without getting syrupy, lows were punchy without being bloated. Compared to the Riverstone Audio tubes, the Loxjie P20 OEM tubes produced less tubey sound, somewhat closer to solid state sound. This is a known characteristic of Chinese tubes (which I happen to have on my home stereo tube setup).My Focal Elex sounds excellent driven by full balanced stack consisting of SMSL SU-8 + Loxjie P20 equipped with the Riverstone Audio 6N3P-E tubes. Sound was equally great on semi balanced stack consisting of Topping D50 + Loxjie P20. Both combos are great for relaxed listening sessions when you just want to appreciate and enjoy music. For critical listening I could always switch to my solid state HP-amps (Liquid Spark, JDS Labs Atom) for neutral sound.Other headphones tested includes Sennheiser HD6XX and Monoprice M1060 in balanced and single ended mode. The Riverstone Audio 6N3P-E tubes installed on Loxjie P20 produced positive tube-sound experience on all combinations, with sound signature varying slightly dependent on individual characteristics of the headphones.

I just want to start off, by saying I really REALLY appreciate the great hand packaging that these come in. The packaging is a subtle printed corrugated box with a nice sealing tape, which opens up into a nicely hand wrapped bubble lining around the cardboard boxes that hold the vaccum tubes. There is 2 slightly stretchy clear band that hold the 2 boxes together which is opened on the side and folds all the way out to give you access to pull the tubes out which also allows you to reuse the box if you decide to later on for storage/shipping.With that out of the way...how do they sound? Well they sound excellent! I came from the Loxjie P20 stock Chinese tubes and figured there might just be a placebo during the tube rolling process...so I half-reluctantly picked up these since I didn't want to kick myself when they went out of stock...little did I realize how much of a difference it would make. I would consider myself to be a self-trained critical listener, but I didn't have to look hard to hear the difference at all. The mids and vocals cleared up as if a veil of distortion was removed from what was heard on the chinese tubes that came with the P20...other reviewers mentioned this which I was skeptical of, but I can attest that it is 100% accurate! The highs also appear to be more coherent with the rest of the music in that it feels like the range which they extend sounds more realistic and more relaxed. Overall they produce a very organic and relatively detailed sound (not quite pure solid state detail level), but very very competitive. Not that I had any buyers remorse from buying the Loxjie P20...but theses tubes help me truly appreciate my investment as these tubes definitely produce a more tube sound signature which is what I wanted to begin with. If these come back on sale, I will buy more for safe keeping when I need to replace my tubes...I urge you to do the same!If these are in stock and you have the extra money, don't hesitate to grab these!

What is sheerness? Tube B had bent pins, i straightened, then used adapter to place in socketImproved timbre, detail, lushness, slighlty widened soundstge, an audible 25% improvement IMO to stock tubes

These tubes came carefully packaged. I inserted them into my FX Audio Tube-06 preamplifier which is connected to a pair of Fostex PMO.4 near-field studio monitors. This set up sound amazing. Not going to rock the house down, but is a very clear and pretty smooth presentation of the music I am playing though this set up. I imagine these tubes will take a bit of time to break in completely, so I am looking forward to an even more pleasurable listening experience.Bottom line: These tubes from Riverstone Audio are well worth the price I paid (which includes tube matching).

Firstly, agree with all previous reviewers on packaging/presentation upon receiving/opening shipping box. Impressive gentlemen! "Fit for a King", as the saying goes.Amplifier is a Qinpu A-3 integrated amplifier with headphone amp capability via the preamp output jack. Using as a headphone amp with AKG-701's/702's. Previously tried G.E. 5670's in the Qinpu's two tube sockets but actually preferred the original Chinese 6n3's. This amp seems to be tuned for extra bass and for headphones rated at 64 to 300 ohms. AKG's are rated at 62 ohms, so a decent match, whilst my Grado GH-1's and AudioTechnica ATH W-5000's, rated at 32 and 40 ohms respectively, are not. So adding the Russian 6n3p-e tubes I'm hearing a totally different and really audiophilic sound not heard previously with stock or 5670 tubes. Pretty much amazed by how they have brought the little Qinpu/AKG 701 combination to new heights of all the audiophile terminology must haves....firm delineated bass, wide dynamic range, ambience to die for (lol) and what really is telling...I keep going to this combo for all my headphone music AND movie listening. It's that super good now with these great Russian 6n3p-e tubes from Riverstone Audio. Thanks guys!

These are amazing tubes. Expensive than most but worth the money and highly recommended.I actually bought an extra pair as back up since these tubes go out of stock often.
