Although we have minimized a lot of plastic use at home, I hadn't thought about the environmental impact of dental floss. This floss works very well, and I love that it's in a glass / metal bottle. Great product!

This is the best floss in the world. I could never bare to floss because of how polluting those nylons lines are, that end up choking and strangling marine and wild life. This biodegrades, and it is vegan because it comes from peace silk (from caterpillars who have already completed their metamorphosis, so not requiring the death of an insect). You can tell it biodegrades because it occasionally breaks if you floss a certain way — this has really not been an issue, it is an infrequent event for me and a good reminder that this is what it says it is.But what I really appreciate is that the company is coherent with the goals of the sustainable product, by wrapping it in a sustainable packaging. The floss glass jar with refills is very sustainable, and these refills come packaged in sawn candelilla wax paper bags inside a cardboard box. And Amazon is also getting the message since this was delivered in their fully craft paper paper-pulp-lined recyclable mailers! We're making progress.This is a terrific floss, it makes me want to floss every day because it's not my teeth vs the environment.

I have no issues with this floss at all. I just got 2 years of metal braces off, so my teeth are nice and straight and tight. It does break every once and again (usually on my back 2 bottom teeth) but if you gently saw it back and forth that solves the problem. It cleans great. I love that it's biodegradable and wont wind up in the ocean or environment strangling some poor animal. I'm knocking off 1 star for being made in China. I usually don't care about that - we're all people and we all need jobs and plenty of quality items come out of China - but I'm always wary of the conditions of Chinese workers mass producing products. I feel as though it takes away the fact that I'm trying to do something better for people and the planet. Otherwise, great floss.

I have tight teeth - so tight that they had to remove some and resize my jaw to barely fit them in. And I LOVE this floss. Not only is it plastic-free and compostable, but it never shreds. My teeth will shread all of the name-brand plastic flosses right away and will even shred special tapes for tight teeth. I have been using this floss for over a year (a new piece every time of course!) and have never had it spread or break in my mouth. If you have really tight teeth which makes you reluctant to try this, I encourage you to.

I like that it's biodegradable, but this floss is not very strong.

I feel I am helping the planet even in this small way with the floss biodegradable and the container being refillable so I’m not throwing away another chunk of plastic each time I use up a container of floss.

This floss is great! It came in all eco-friendly packaging, even the envelope it was shipped in was eco-friendly! I used Bite floss and was extremely unimpressed. My teeth are very tight from wearing braces and Bite broke again and again. I just tried this floss and it held together like a dream! Great thickness, awesome tensile strength.If anything changes over the course of use I'll update but so far extremely impressed! Wish it was sold in stores!

These floss refills are great and exactly what I was looking for. The silk floss cleans between my teeth better than the synthetic floss ribbon for sure, and I feel it does a better job and is stronger than waxed floss I was using. It is nicely waxed and glides pretty smoothly between teeth. I have not had a piece break yet or get stuck. To refill I just pop it into the little glass bottle from my companion purchase and it's ready to use. It's not hard to thread, you just have to neaten up the end with a pair of scissors before rethreading through the top of the floss holder. I also appreciate that this floss is silk and therefore biodegradable. I even used it to sew on a button in a pinch!
