Enercell 2-Bay 15-Minute Travel AA & AAA Battery Charger 23-785

Beware of the SLOW chargers out there. This unit refreshes your batteries in under 15 minutes, sometimes in as little as 5m. Read the fine print before buying. Some makers call 4 HOURS a "fast" charger in huge print. This charger is 110V or 12V compatible, so it charges on the boat, in the car, etc. I have not tried it on 12V yet, but the 110V configuration is the best I have found, with a LOT of searching.

I received this product and was excited to try it. It felt heavy and well built so I plugged it in and in a matter of about 20 seconds, I hear a pop noise and looked at the charger and some smoke was coming from it. I believe this product is unsafe and I don't want a replacement, nor would I recommend it. I have never had any product do this ever. This charger is scarey.

I love this charger, it works REALLY fast and is excellent for my applications (360 controllers, MFLB, flashlights, a/v remotes) It works just like advertised.Why a 3 start rating then? Well... I have ran into a couple issues... it doesn't make me want to look for a replacement, but just a word of caution to others.The two AA batteries that came with it were dead, not like... Oh, they are out of a charge... I mean 100% not working, would not take a charge from this or any of the other chargers I have.Something else to keep in mind... this charger is loud when it's charging, this is due to an internal cooling fan that helps keep the temps down and the components from melting. The second and most alarming issue is that I've had the charger for a little over a month now and already the bearings on the internal fan are going out. When I plug in a battery and the fan starts up, you can hear a bad bearing whizzing around for about 20 seconds before the noise goes away.Bottom line, would I purchase this charger again? Without hesitation because of how well it functions. I would just caution others to be prepared to purchase a replacement sooner rather than later. It's currently $8 shipped with prime... you can hardly get 2 quality AA NIMH batteries for that price.

Great for 12v on the road and 110v inside. Good value. Charges well using both power sources.

Not good quality, batteries didn't charge with the included charger or with a smart charger I have. Customer service was great in returning it through amazon though.

Sept.26/16: This charges real fast. I've read that fast charging is not as good for batteries. The charge doesn't last as long nor do the batteries but I still like and depend on this charger a lot.

Bought my first Enercell 15 minute charger at radio shack about 2 years ago. Works perfectly every time with all AA and AAA batteries. A drawback is 2 batteries at a time, but current chargers advertise 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours to charge. obviously not acceptable. My neighbor wanted to recharge AA's. I went to Sams and Walmart and no speedy recharges. Radio Shack wanted 35.00 plus for a charger. Found one like my 15 minute Enercell charger on Amazon, and ordered it . About $20.00 including shipping. a good bargain.
