That it works as described.
Parchment. The mat was found to be good when carrying parchment and embossing work plus a good work surface for others types of projects e.g.. painting and blending colours.

Decent mat, probably great for parchment!
I bought this to use as a black background to my crafting videos. I found it quite hard to find a black crafting pad, so I was happy to find this. In general I'd say it functions OK as a crafting pad, since it feels nice and sturdy, but it does scratch a little easily, and polymer clay for example sticks to it and doesn't come off easily as the surface is slightly textured. I am sure it functions better as a parchment pad, which is its intended use.
