Works well
I purchased this to alleviate pain and inflammation for my shoulder injury. Per my physical therapist, it is very important to ice my shoulder after any workout to reduce the inflammation. This works really well as I am able to secure it to my arm/shoulder with the provided wraps !

works great
I ordered this for my husband who has inflammation in his upper arm and thigh following a fall. His doctor recommended treating with a heating pad three times a day. Our traditional heating pad worked okay for the thigh but wouldn't stay in place on his upper arm without holding it the whole time. We saw a few online that were more fitted for the shoulder and were in the $40 price range because they were electric. That was another problem too, since the cord always got in the way and kept him stationary near an outlet. What we liked about this was that it was NOT electric but has a gel pad that can be heated in the microwave for heat OR cooled in the fridge or freezer if that was needed. It offered two treatment methods in one and was less than half the price of the electric ones. The Velcro strips that old it in place give the rectangular pad more options for use on different parts of the body and for different sized people. The only criticism is that the Velcro strip for wrapping around the body (as pictured) might be too short for a comfortable fit around a large person. My husband is 5'6" and 160 pounds, and if the strip were any shorter, it would probably be too tight on him. He has only used this for heat so far, but the gel pack holds the heat for the full 15 minutes that he is to use each time, so he is pleased with this. I think it is a great alternative to electric heating pads.

Amazing Ice Pack Wrap!
I absolutely love this ice pack wrap. It is so easy to use and adjust the straps to allow you to wear it wherever needed. The gel pack is very flexible, even when frozen so it easily fits on your body. I needed it for my arm and it was such a relief to have ice surrounding my arm. I would highly recommend for almost any injury on your body since it has long straps as well.

Very good long-lasting ice pack!
The large ice pack can be used easily on many different body parts. It stays cold for a long period of time! The Velcro straps help to secure it in place. The gel pack is removable and stays fairly flexible after being frozen. After knee surgery I purchased 2 packs for my husband. We could alternate the 2 packs and they worked perfectly. I have used it for my back also. One of the items arrived missing the additional removable strap as advertised. I contacted the seller, returned that item and received a replacement. I would highly recommend this gel pack!

Covers a large area, stays cold longer
It's great for ice therapy across my entire back. The box shows a neoprene-looking pouch to insert the gel pack. What's not shown (see attached photo #1) is the mesh on the side exposed to bare skin. The beautiful model must not have seen the warning (see attached photo #2) of frostbite if exposed to bare skin. No one would be able to wear it as seen on the box. You must wear it over clothes or modify the pouch as I do.I'd bump it up to four stars if I didn't have to modify the pouch. I place it in one of my extra SmartTemp pouches an make due. Not a five star item like what you get from Amazon's SmartTemp-HC1302.

Big enough to cover entire shoulder, works great! Especially for post surgery!
This ice pack is amazing! I’ve had multiple shoulder surgeries and previously used the cold water pack and ice bucket the doctors say to purchase every time. Filling the bucket with ice, wrapping yourself in that Velcro madness of an ice pack contraption, and then hooking the bucket to the ice pack is a royal pain in the butt. Especially if you have to do it yourself, one handed. To make matters worse, the water pack doesn’t get below 32 F (0 C), and it warms up in about 10-15 minutes. My most recent surgeon told me to avoid that and just purchase ice packs (He’s also one of the nation’s top surgeons and is fixing what other doctor’s missed on my previous surgeries). This ice pack is foldable, and fits easily in your freezer. It takes a few hours to get cold initially, but that’s a given for any ice pack. When it’s time to ice, it still remains flexible while remaining extremely cold, and slips easily into the provided fabric sleeve which protects your skin and the furniture you sit on. The instructions say to cover your skin with a towel, but I apply it directly. The ice pack can be manipulated fairly well and I’m able to conform it to contact 90% of the skin on my shoulder. The sleeve has Velcro straps for a more secure fit, but I don’t even bother with that, as the ice pack is large enough cover my entire shoulder (front and back) and conforms to it easily. I simply sit on the couch with my back against the cushion, or prop myself lying down and it stays in place the entire time. Even after 30 minutes of icing the ice pack is still cold, and I don’t have to worry about dripping water or anything leaking. This is an amazing product, especially for the price! It’s a must have for any athlete, person who just had surgery, or someone who works out. If you’re having surgery and your doctor tells you to buy the “Cold therapy machine” aka ice bucket, PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT INSTEAD AND DO NOT BUY THAT EVIL CONTRAPTION (even if your doctor insists)!

Flexible and good sized ice packs for my knee
I had a knee replacement a couple of weeks ago and needed some large ice packs to use at home and at work. I bought two and love them! They are very pliable, and form right around my knee. The two straps that are sewn on are not very user friendly for me since I wear it perpendicular to the intended orientation. Luckily, an additional independent strap was included, so I am able to make it work. I would recommend leaving all the straps loose to accommodate use in any direction.
