Through the ancient Chinese making method(hand forged and so on), we made this sword. The blade is sharpened by several grades of sharpen stones, making sword very sharp.AISI 1060 carbon has 1.24-1.64 impurity within it, decreasing the strength of the material and making quenching process uncontrollable. it was folded 13-14 times to remove impurity , making it harder and more flexibility . it also leaves special grain on the blade.they look very clear and nice.Generally,a damascus blade has more than 8000 layers. Attention: The package does not contain stand. Sword bag will be offered to you for free and random.

After opening the package, the first thing I noticed that was wrong, was that the pommel and grip were loose and rattling. Then, upon closer inspection, I found the pommel itself was damaged. The design was completely ground off and flattened on the outer ring in 4 places. It almost looks like someone either hit it flat with a hammer, or ground off the design. I found two similar damaged spots on the ring near the guard.The sword also doesn't seem to fit in the sheath properly. When looking down the length of sword while sheathed, the sword and sheath are clearly not lined up to fit. In other words, you can't completely sheath the weapon.Oh yeah, last but certainly not least, the sheath is also cracked completely through down the length of the wood in two places. I haven't measured the length of the cracks, but I estimate one is about two inches long, the other four inches long.
