Interesting story of love and betrayal
This was a prime example of miscommunication. The only thing I found hard to accept is them having sex, if they really felt betrayed and hated each other. If I had that level of pain and anger, there is no way I would participate in such an intimate act. And anger sex may work for a man, but I’ve not met a woman who would let a man she hates touch her without rape.

2016 This was a great book, but I’m going to start off with ...
The Tycoon’s Revenge (Baby for thru Billionaire Nook 1)By Melody AnneReview by, Karen MerrillOct. 13, 2016 This was a great book, but I’m going to start off with a complaint, if you will. False advertising at its worst! The title reads, plain as day (BABY FOR THE BILLIONAIRE, BOOK 1). Now I think we can all agree that a nine year old is indeed a child… but a baby he is not! So, perhaps Ms. Anne needs to re-think her titles more carefully in the future… for accuracy sake of course. I was however able to overlook this glaring error and read the story which was in fact quite good. Originally set back when Derrick and Jasmine they fell in love with each other and plans to run away together (neither knowing that Jasmine was pregnant at the time). Plans were made for their escape, but due to the underhanded influence of Jasmine’s lowlife father he was at the church to meet Derrick before Jasmine arrived, offering a large payout for him to forget all about Jasmine, and that Jasmine no longer wanted anything more to do with him. Of course, Derrick was heartbroken that Jasmine had left him, and he was forced to start on his life without her. Jasmine too, was crushed when Derrick didn’t show up as promised and was forced to raise their son on her own.So, after the dastardly influence of others had succeeded in driving them apart Jasmine and Derrick went on to live their own lives until Derrick finely saw the chance to have the revenge he had longed craved for so long. He bought the company Jasmine’s Father owned right out from under him, leaving him nothing. Jasmine’s father left the country in shame. It wasn’t long before he discovered that one of the employee’s at the company was the very woman who had broken his heart years ago, Jasmine, and that she had a 9 year old son. His son. He was filled with a sense of betrayal that she hadn’t told him of his son’s existence, she didn’t know where he had gone, and she though he made it clearer he wanted nothing to do with her. Misunderstandings abound! How do you fix this if you’re a billionaire? Well you insist that this deceptive woman of questionable integrity marry you of course! It’s the least his son deserves! And the fact that the feeling he once felt for her are reemerging have absolutely nothing to do with it! (As he continually tries to convince himself). He’s been burned by her once, he won’t let it happen twice. This is all because he wants to establish a strong relationship with his son. (Again trying to convince himself he has no ulterior motives… like RIGHT) However, as time goes by, he can’t deny the feeling he felt for years are still there and inevitably they both act on them. (Hot, Hot, Hot). But I must keep this G-rated I say… I must! Going right along as Derrick and Jasmine each fight their feelings of betrayal while trying to do what’s best for their son. Will they be able to forgive each other to truly start again? Will they ever know what really happens that night all those years ago? Do they have what it takes to have a marriage that will last? And finally, will love conquer all? Read and find out. Good reading!

Excellent start to the series, engaging second chance love story
Derek had planned for this moment, nothing was going to spoil the revenge he had waited ten long years to enjoy. David Freeman was exactly where he wanted him. David’s company was now Derek’s, thanks to careful planning and a hostile takeover move. Soon David would be spending time in prison for embezzlement and his shady business practices, but for now Derek could sit and smile at his enemy’s rage and anger.Next would be Jasmine. The girl he’d loved as a teenager. The girl he had planned to run away with, to spend his life with, to marry and cherish while their dreams came true. Until she showed herself to be the spoiled, rich girl who would trade in their future in order to stay in her scummy father’s good graces. She’d destroyed his family – and she would pay.As rage and fear overtook her, Jasmine charged into the office that once was her father’s. There behind his new desk was the man, the only man she’d ever loved – the man who crushed her dreams when he didn’t show at the abandoned church the day they were to leave town for their new future. The same eyes that had once sparked with love now looked at her with smug distain. Too bad his eyes looked so much like her son’s. Their son’s. The child she’d never told him about because he didn’t want her then, she’d not stoop to trapping him with his baby. Now this man held her future in his hands, and she knew he would not be knd.The Tycoon’s Revenge is a tight, fast paced second chance love story. One that Jasmine and Derek are going to go through a lot to finally get to their happy ever after. There is a lot of anger, pain, and betrayal to get past. The journey of how Derek extracts his revenge, the pain that Jasmine goes through, the absolute joy Jacob finds when his father comes home again… this is a story you want to read. I won’t give anymore away, just know that this is a love story that will pull your emotions in a hundred different directions and you’ll come back for more. Grab this one for yourself and enjoy the first novel in The Baby For The Billionaire series. (this novel has had a couple different covers since it was first released in 2013)*Any review is just one person’s opinion. You might feel the same or totally different. The only way to know for certain is for you to read it. This was my opinion of this particular book.* Originally reviewed at Keeper Bookshelf (dot) com

Die drei Bände der Baby for the Billionaire-Reihe sind: The Tycoon's Revenge (Baby for the Billionaire - Book One) ; Hauptfiguren: Derek Titan und Jasmine Freeman, The Tycoon's Vacation (Baby for the Billionaire - Book Two) ; Hauptfiguren Drew Titan und Trinity Mathews und The Tycoon's Proposal - (Baby for the Billionaire, Book Three) ; Ryan Titan und Nicole LanderP.S.: Die Trilogie ist mittlerweile als Sammelband unter dem Titel Baby for the Billionaire erschienen.

Unexpected second chance romance
A lovely second chance romance from determined revenge.Jasmine and Derek were from opposite end of town, her dad being very powerful and one of the richest in town, Derek coming from a normal family with very little money to spare. In theory they were very different, but that didn't stop them falling in love. After school they planned to move away to the city to start a new life together and get married. Somehow it all went wrong and both blamed each other for breaking their hearts. The story picks up 10 years later when Derek gets his revenge by taking over Jasmine's father's business and kicking him out on his ear. He later finds out Jasmine is working there, under a different surname - perfect for his revenge! As normal, everything is not quite what it seems, but a nice easy read which keeps you wondering if they ever will have that happy ever after.

Loved it!
Jasmine is a single mom of a 10 year old son who has worked hard to give him a safe and happy home. She grew up in a wealthy home but her father cut off all financial help years ago she pretty much lives pay check to pay check now.As a teenager, she fell in love with very poor Derek who she planned on marrying and running away with. They were to meet at a little church then leave but something happened that prevented them from meeting. They each thought the other one changed their mind and were both heartbroken.Ten years later Derek is a multi-billionaire and wants revenge on Jasmine for leaving him and her father for interfering with his own father's attempt to get a bank loan for a business. Derek gets his revenge on Jasmine's father's by doing a hostile takeover of his company but when he sees Jasmine and her son, he realizes that he is seeing his own child. He slowly realizes that Jasmine is not the spoiled, rich girl he thought she was.I love the story line in The Tycoon's Revenge, especially the way their fortunes changed over the years. I liked the writing style of the author very much. It was very a very smooth, easy read that I just didn't want to put down! I like the surprise that Derek has when he finds out that Jasmine works at his new company and she is very good at her job. Jasmin's tension feels very real when she realizes that Derek is now her boss. She is worried that she may be fired and not be able to support her son.The character development was great in that it lets the reader find out about Derek and Jasmine's lives when they were younger as well as who they are now. The secondary characters were well written too, giving just enough information to let us get to know them very quickly. Jasmine's son, Jacob, was a cute little boy and his activities helped pull the story together. Family was very important to Derek which we saw in his interaction with his father, Daniel, and his cousins, Ryan and Drew.I highly recommend this unusual romance.
