Quick connect to binoculars, quick to put on and comfortable to wear for long hikes.
The Vortex bino carriers are excellent; simple to connect to a pair of binoculars and easy to wear and you don't know you're wearing them because they are so comfortable. Because of the design, they don't swing across your body like some others do. A good value for the quality and design you're receiving.

Well constructed and perfect amount of flexibility for binoculars
My previous Nikon harness broke on the leather portion. I'm a mechanical engineer, so I did a lot of research to find a harness that was high quality at a reasonable price and chose the Vortex harness strap. The harness is very comfortable, well constructed, easy to adjust, and has the perfect amount of flexibility in the straps for my somewhat heavy binoculars so I can wear the binoculars for several hours at a time.My only complaint is the low quality attachment straps that were provided with the harness to attach to the lugs on the binoculars, which are fairly cheap construction and too short. The attachment straps are thin, flat material with a thin metal ring that goes through slots cut in the strap near each end. It looks like the fabric could tear at the cut locations, so I would not trust my $700 binoculars with those attachment straps. In addition, the attachment strap is too short, so that the metal ring where the harness's plastic clips attach are right where the eyepiece lens cap also needs to attach to the strap. Even aftermarket attachment straps are too short, so I made my own from paracord with a special knot that prevents it from loosening.Since all harnesses have the same issue with the short, low quality attachment straps, my review is based on the harness itself, which I definitely recommend purchasing.

Lasted 6 years
I bought this in 2018 and used it several days a week, sometimes up to 8 hours a day (for my job) and just recently the elastic has started to fail. Of course, elastic does not last forever! So I am buying a new one because I liked this product a lot! Good product, comfortable, easy to put on and adjust size, and the clips make it easy to take on/off the bins. One thing I could have done better is to keep it out of the sun, as I feel that perhaps that contributed to the degradation.

WAY better than neck straps!
I've got a very nice pair of Vortex binoculars. They have a lovely image and a great field of view and are super bright and all, but they are NOT lightweight. If I hung them on the supplied neckstrap, I would have a sore neck almost immediately. But that's not Vortex's fault. I've had the same issue with much smaller and lighter bins. Binoculars (and cameras for that matter) just should NOT be used with neck straps. They weigh on your neck and bounce around on your chest. Harness straps are simply the ONLY way to go. They spread the weight over your neck, shoulders and back, stabilize the bins or camera to reduce bouncing on your front and don't get in your way when you use the bins or camera. Other people make harness traps but some have a more convoluted path around you and nobody makes them better than Vortex plus the price of the Vortex straps are as low as just about anybody elses. You cannot go wrong with these! They are also built to handle weight. I tend to hang my camera (Sony Cyber‑Shot RX10 IV) on one side and my bins (Vortex Razor UHD 10x42) on the other. I find the birds with the bins, then take an ID shot with the camera. The Vortex straps can actually hold all this weight. The do eventually stretch, but they lasted me 4 years of birding around the world before I had to replace them. Very much recommended! And I recommend them in person when I've given lectures on buying and using binoculars to bird groups. Great stuff!

PROBLEM: Heavy binos on the neck. SOLUTION: Buy This!
I love the quality and clarity of the Vortex Razor binos but, I don’t love the weight on the neck. For just under $25, I figured I would try out the harness, if I don’t like it, send it back. Guess what? I’m keeping it! Works amazing! If you want to comfortably carry binos and have them right where you need them when you need them, this is it!

Nice fit!
It didn't take me long to get use to this harness.I first put it on inside with just my regular indoor clothing on and the harness fit great. The binoculars stayed against my chest even when I bent over trying to get them to swing away from my body....nope, couldn't do it.Then I put on my heavy, thick army coat, slipped the harness on and again it fit just fine without making any adjustments. That makes me feel good that I won't have to re-adjust it depending on the weather or season we're in.Well made too.If there are any camera lovers out there, this Vortex harness will work with a camera too, just make sure you order an extra set of the "Harness strap connector set" made by Vortex so you can just unclip the binoculars from the harness and connect your camera and you're on your way.5 stars all around for this product.Update: I connected my Pentax K-50 camera to this harness using the small rings that come with the harness connected to the J hooks on the harness. Then I ordered some OP/TECH Mini QD Loops 1.5mm (found here on Amazon) and attached them to the camera where the strap would go and the other end of those Mini QD Loops were slid onto the metal rings that came with the harness. My camera was against my body the whole time I walked through the woods, under tree bows and through the snow and not once was theree a problem with the camera swinging away from my body.Lifting the camera up to take pictures was a breeze.I would highly recommend this harness with the mentioned QD Mini Loops for a great way to carry your camera for a hike in the woods.
