They work! I fixed a loud rattle in the back of my 1996 Grand Cherokee
For a long time I've had this annoying ratting coming from the inside back of my 1996 ZJ Grand Cherokee. I discovered that the trim panel that covers the back lift gate had all four of the plastic rivets sheared off through years of wear and the entire panel was flapping around. I did my research and bought these, and they were an exact replacement for the OEM rivets that had failed.Here's what I did:First, I was very careful not to damage my trim panel while getting the old rivets out of the holes. That took most of the time.Second, I installed these rivets by pushing them into the holes, and then covering the rivets with a towel and giving the covered rivets a firm, but not too hard, whack with a rubber mallet. They all went in just fine, and for the first time in perhaps years my Jeep ZJ has no noise coming from the inside.Best $10 car fix ever.

Pins were so hard and brittle that they kept breaking off at the head.

Nature of the beast
These are only good once. When you go to remove them, they are going to break off. Hopefully when you use these you are done with what is needed and this is the final step. I added a backup camera to my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee and misaligned one side of the lift gate. I had to remove the plastic again to realign it...and use 6 more of the push pins cause all 6 broke again. lucky for me they come in large quantities.

The right part for the price!
These are exactly what I needed! I’ve had my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee for about 5 years and the hatch panel has always been loose. A few months ago my hatch handle broke. I had to take the hatch panel off and 3 of the 4 panel clips were broken (no wonder the panel was loose. We replaced the handle and panel clips and now there no wiggle in the panel. $10 for a 40 pack is an amazing deal because the dealership wanted $8 each clip.

It's the right size for 99-04 Grand Cherokees but they are extremely brittle
You will break several just getting the panel installed. If you just look at these retainers wrong they will break!!!

Looks OEM is actually terrible
Do they look like the OEM clips, sure. But I got one in and needed to take it out and it took about 2 hours. The clip just kept breaking until it was just a small knob. I ended up meltIng it and taking an pick to get it out.

These were perfect. I am glad I bought all three sizes since when I tore the panel off I found that the manufacture had used all three colors in different parts of the panel. But when I took the panel off I couldn't help but destroy the old clips.
