Neonatology Review (Second 2nd Edition) Paperback – January 1, 2010

This is a terrific book to use for studying for the Neonatology Boards. The amount of material in Neonatology can seem overwhelming, but the authors do a great job of organizing and presenting the material. After the Boards, it is a nice book to have on the shelf for a quick answer to a question. And it's great to have with you on-call.

Purchased for my husband to renew his specialty boards. He passed!

Great idea and helpful in general but the editing has issues. There are missing questions, there are correct answers with incorrect letters by them, there are even answers to missing questions. Content is good but most of the citations are pre-2010.

So you would imagine the 2nd edition of a question book contains completely new material, after all it's a question and answer book...,nope this does not. I have the first edition, a good deal of the questions are repeated in the second edition, well over 60%. I am upset because I run the neo- board review for the fellows, I thought I would be getting another resource for review. My opinion is, if you have the 1st edition, don't bother with the 2nd, unless you are able to get a used version for cheap. In terms of the quality of question, they are decent, however I feel like the explanations lack sufficient depth if you are using the q&a book without the actual review book. Overall I would say it's an okay buy!!

The book had too much markings within the book from the former owner(s). Anyway it is a good book. Would also be nice to have a Kindle version.
