Excellent Purchase
As a 1st year nursing student you can become a bit over whelmed with the amount of information and books needed for this course. And with a tight budget you have to try and pick the best books that suit your needs at that time, as probably many of you out there know.I was recommended this book by a 2nd year nursing student who happened to be on the same ward as me at the time and I can't thank her enough for this and how helpful she was towards me. It's got to be one of the best literature purchases I've made to date. Esp as I now have essay no 2 to complete. It simplifies all the procedures making it easy for you to understand also giving you loads of good references which support this, unlike the professional version which a friend of mine on course has and she finds this version a little to in depth and of course more bulky. I have found the Student version ideal for helping with writing my essay, cause references as you know is what you need. With pently of pictures and diagrams to support, from Admin to how to wash your hands properly. An excellent reference book and I think essential for any students personal medical library.I hope this is of help as I also used similar feedback from amazon customers in order to finalize my decision to purchase.

Your bible!
I'm a frist year student nurse, and I find this book really helpful.Easy to follow, easy to read, lots of examples and rational for everything you need to know throughout your student nursing traning. This book is not as wide as the registered nurse one so its easier to fit in your bag, however its still a good weight to carry round! After learning skills in class its really useful to read further information on prodeduces and good practice in here. If you only plan on buying one book for your nursing this is it and it will be well worth it.The book is colour coded into sections making it easier to work your way through the chapters, great indexing. Not much more to say other than I am so glad I have this book its essential.

Like everyone else says, this is your new bible
Bought this in 2013 when I started my journey as a student Nurse. I’m now staring 2020 in the face and this book still shines a light during the difficult times that weren’t covered in University. Not every single aspect of nursing procedures and skills can be taught or experienced in three years, but this book paired with your newly acquired knowledge of how to approach any task in the nursing way is complete gold. In the beginning it weighs your bag down on early mornings, until the moment comes where you’re glad it’s there

Essential required reading
This is a required text for BSc Adult nursing. I am a first year student and this book has everything I need for clinical skills. It goes hand in hand with the Kozier text and really that should be me, all bases covered. That said, I have borrowed some foundation texts just because the Marsden is a little heavy to carry around. The language is set at the right level - with enough new terms to learn! The photographs and diagrams are very clear and helpful. I certainly can't fault this book - it's great, and the references are plentiful for further reading if you can manage it.

guidance at my fingertips.
I knew hat I was buying as I wanted the reference material available. I have the kindle app on my surface and can now access the information without carrying a heavy book with me. As a nurse management consultant to be able to refer to the up to date validated procedures means I can be sure I am working within best practice guidelines. I like that the contents take me quickly to the relevant section in the book. I have also learnt how to use the bookmark pages with effect.

Brilliant
This is the perfect text for Nursing Students. I would recommend this for anyone who is on a Nursing course or about to begin one.I have just completed my first year of a 3 year Nursing degree, this is the only book I have brought and I have used it for every piece of coursework so far. I also refer back to it during my placements when I want to know how to do a particular procedure and also the rationale behind it.Honesty, absolutely brilliant. An accurate and reliable source of information.

A great reference book
This book is perfect to learn about a variety of clinical procedures to help you improve your practice, making it safe and ensuring it is evidence based. I enjoy just reading it to expand my knowledge on not only procedures but also the research behind it. It provides good details on anatomy and physiology which helps you understand better the rational behind any procedures. Overall the book describe in details and in a clear manner how to perform many clinical procedures. It can be used as a quick check guide and be used in more detail study.
