I've taken lately to add in some chocolate covered pistachios or expresso beans which make for a nice treat in the mix.According to the pecan shellers association (yes biased for sure, but most is common knowledge!) Pecans are an especially healthy food, one of the lowest-carb nuts, with healthy oils and loots of antioxidants. I'm controlling Type 2 Diabetes with diet and exercise instead of drugs, so I eat LOTS of pecans, either alone as a snack or combined with other healthy goodies. Chewing them up with super-dark (85%+ cacao) chocolate, another superfood, cuts the bitterness, making it nicely palatable.Anna and Sarah's are the most desirable pecans I have found, the only ones I buy. They have always come as fresh, flavorful, whole nut halves in a resealable package, with no rotten nuts, no pieces of shell, and no bitter pieces of internal partition, but still at a competitive price. They are probably sorted by computer-driven optical recognition and air-jet removal of undesirable components of the product stream. I come from pecan country, and have cracked and sorted tons of pecans by hand, but I could never deliver such quality at this price.

These pecans are great! They are RAW and PLAIN, so keep that in mind when ordering. I love me some pecans, but now I realize I want them just slightly salted, so I'll have to get that done to these. But they arrived well-packaged with a few other items and the pieces are good sized. I haven't hit any shell bits yet and my kids both love them too. Great way to get some healthy fats!!! I plan to make some of the pecans into butter at home to see how that turns out. I just need to NOT grab the entire bag when I want to snack. :)UPDATE 10/21/16: I finished the bag and, due to convenience, bought a bag at my local Cash N Carry. Upon opening the bag and grabbing a few pecans to eat, I realized that there wa a bitter taste at the beginning of the Anna and Sarah pecans!! I didn't have anything to compare to before, but that taste is gross! Maybe I got a bad bag, but the whole bag had that same flavor and the brand I have this time doesn't have it at all. :-\

Always fresh and delicious. Have bought these multiple times. Well packaged for bit by bit use. Economical as well. Larger pkg is cheaper but still work well over time. In fridge is into a couple of months. Always keep some. Always great in salads…no need to bake with them or roast. Never bitter.

I am sorry to have to report that these are the worst pecans that I have ever bought. They are literally uneatable. They must be so old, as they are mushy and very poor quality! They are packaged to look very professional and attractive, but the product is very poor. I will try using them in cooking, otherwise, they will just have to be put in the trash. The price was a bargain, if they had been good pecans. I love the name, and I hope Anna & Sara are able to improve their product!I just saw the four star rating after I gave these pecans a one rating! How could that change so drastically after I said they were uneatable?

I finally received my pecans around 3:50 PM on 7/25/16 after the first promised date of 7/22 wasn't fulfilled. This is a FIRST and a rare situation since being an Amazon Prime member. The pecans came in an Anna and Sarah plastic resealable zip-lock bag. I ordered a 2 lb bag. It arrived in a small Amazon box along with another item I'd purchased with plastic foam to hold each item to keep them from being shuffled around during transit. The pecans were FRESH and in whole halves which is just what I ordered and they are very tasty. Any kind of nuts are very expensive these days, but these seem to be the most reasonably priced after searching online. I'm glad I ordered these and I will place another order soon. I would definitely recommend this product!!!!
