Great response time
I just received this detector today but within the small amount of time that I’ve used it. It has picked up so much that my previous metal detector had not. The response time is great. It has the response time of a higher priced machine. Putting it together out of the box was basic common sense but there is an instruction manual included to help if needed. I haven’t tried the headphones out yet but they seem to be basic headphones. The digger that it came with seems to be of good quality. It could stand to be sharpened a little to help cut around grass easier but overall pretty good. I’ll be going to the outer banks next week and can’t wait to try it out on the beach and see how the waterproofness is on this detector. One of the reasons I got this one with it being fully waterproof. I had it out in the yard for 15 minutes and found two can tabs two old nails some foil a metal washer and a penny in 15 minutes! If you’re thinking about which detector to get and don’t want to spend much on one. This is the one you want. It has a rechargeable battery so you don’t have to worry about the 9v going dead on you. I can’t speak on battery life as I just got it but I will update my review later. I’m extremely happy with my purchase. It would definitely be worth it to get the pro over the regular findx spend the extra $40 and get something you can use everywhere. So I’ve had the detector for a couple months now and battery life is pretty good. The entire time I had it at the beach I only put it on charge once. With it only being a single frequency machine I had some issues with black sand while on the beach and it interfered with the frequency. Causing it to beep a lot around it. You can mess with the settings and change the sensitivity levels around to try to go around that or just move up a couple feet on the beach line and avoid the black sand and it worked like a charm. I was finding stuff 2 feet deep in the sand. If you plan on taking it to the beach just be sure to take the coil cover off and clean the coil off with fresh water after use to be sure you don’t get any saltwater and sand trapped under the cover and it will effect your future detecting until you get it cleaned. I’m extremely happy with this purchase. I would recommend and would purchase again.

Best first or second detector on the market today
This is a great machine for the novice to intermediate detectorist. Simple to use, but with a lot of features. The price is unbeatable for the quality. Nokta made a real detector for the price of a no name knock off which runs old technology. If you want to get in to this hobby, this is the one.

Great detector!
I grabbed one of these when they were on sale mostly to see what you really get for your money. I was presently surprised. The build quality is great. The machine is waterproof, rechargeable, and seems to be the same tough build as other nokta products. Its extremely easy to use as well. Minimal adjustments and stuff to play with. This can be a good and bad thing. Being a machine heavily intended for beginners its a good thing. You even get some accessories with it lol. The bag and the digger aren't bad, but the headphones are pretty cheap looking and feeling. They do work though and you get headphones. You can use any wired headphones as well. The modes on this detector are useful and fun to use. Its somewhat similar to the simplex. You have field, park, jewelry, and beach mode. Field is the deepest by far but you lose the vdi numbers display half way through its depth range. Park is the most shallow but also seems to be the fastest and modulated. Using headphones will help hear the faintest signals and help with the lower depth. Jewelry is somewhere in the middle. The 4 tones of jewelry mode will make it a nice one to use. Then beach mode is also somewhere in the middle as well. I have a pretty large collection of detectors and I really like this thing. Hoping to use it alot and put it through its paces. It will be a great park machine for shallow freshly dropped targets. Or for when its super dry and I don't want to dig a foot deep in hard soil haha.

For the price, good unit. Headphones are useless
Metal detector operates as advertised, but the head phones are of the lowest quality possible. The wires coming out of the headphones are as thin as possible and the insulation for the wires is super thin and soft. That causes a problem when they are constantly falling off my head because they're not enough tension and enough padding. Making them impossible to use. I bought this unit for beach/ water use. There's no way to use the headphones without dropping them into the water.

Affordable Fun for a Beginner
I recently got into metal detecting with my uncle, who has some seriously high-end equipment in the several hundred to thousand-dollar range. I had a blast finding things with him, so I wanted my own detector but couldn’t afford anything at that level. After chatting with him about reliable brands, he recommended Nokta. I found this detector, and it’s been a great choice! It was affordable, especially with a sale—it was around $140 when I got it. It charges quickly (even through my car), and it does the job well. There’s a bit of a learning curve, and it’s not as precise as my uncle’s high-end gear, but for the price, I’m really happy with it. We even took it in the water, and it held up perfectly. So far, I haven’t found anything super valuable, but I did find part of a nose ring! With more practice, I’m sure I’ll uncover more interesting finds. If you’re looking for a solid, budget-friendly metal detector for a beginner, I definitely recommend this one.

Disappointed
Outside of being good quality. This machine is not good as far as actually working correctly and has a 4" depth max. Vdi number doesn't show half the time. Very Very Very disappointing. I would not recommend this machine to anyone.
