Castle in Forbes produces superior shaving experience. This product produces a great lather. Wonderful smells I would highly recommend this.

1445 is one of my favorite scented shaving creams. It’s fresh, clean and aromatic but distinctly masculine while standing in a category of its own. Sure, it costs more but it’s pure quality from a luxury brand. Is it going to outperform every other cream on the market just because it costs more? No. However, you can expect the performance to be every bit as good as any competitor out there. Whether it’s worth purchasing is a matter of opinion but for me the answer is a resounding yes.If you use it every day, you can expect to get about a years worth of use out of one purchase. If you add it to your rotation, it will last for years. Even though it’s advertised as having a shelf life of a year or two, it’s not going to go bad. It might begin to harden or dry up in ten years even with the lid on but at that point, if that’s your biggest problem, I’d say you would have gotten your money’s worth!

I've been a Castle Forbes user for several years, primarily lime. However, decided to try 1445 when I saw it released. I have no words; simply love it. Reminds me of TOBS shave shop which I've not seen in years. An old fashioned, classic, classy scent.Oh yes, I should probably comment on the quality of the shaving cream as well for those not familiar with Castle Forbes. Quite simply, there is none better...none better; let me say that again, NONE BETTER. While it is possible I've not tried them all, but I've come close, nothing compares.

I have tried all scents of Castle Forbes and I have to say that it is the best quality product on the market. To be honest I am not crazy about any of the scents, but this was my least favorite. The scent is a combination of "fresh" and "musk" that just does not work. I'll finish using it because it is expensive stuff, but it is back to "lime" after this is done. I wish Castle Forbes would create a new more modern scent because the product is excellent, it just falls short in smell.

This shave soap is phenomenal. I'm sure the price may be a reason not to try it, but it's definitely worth every penny. Very nice, clean, comfortable shave. Some reviewers have commented negatively about the smell, but in my opinion it reminds me more of a true barbershop than any of the other shaving products on the market that claim a "barbershop" scent. I will be buying this again!

The Castle Forbes 1445 Shaving Cream is my favorite shaving cream. It gives me a clean shave and smells good. I highly recommend it.

A very nice shaving cream, but there are cheeper ones on the market, that are as good as this one.

I've been using Castle Forbes Shaving Cream for the past 3 years and I can honestly say it is the absolute BEST shaving cream on the market. The best. Nothing better. Literally. Amazing scent - masculine and reminiscent of the barber shop your dad took you to. Lather is thick and rich and you need VERY little on your brush to get it going. My skin dries out easily but this cream moisturizes and creates a smooth glide. This jar will last me up to one year. Sure it's pricier than others but it's your face we're talking about here....doesn't it deserve the best?

I experimented with many, cheaper varieties and wouldn't consider spending $60 on shaving cream...until I tried it. It lathers unlike anything I've used previously (including Taylor of Old Bond Street), and you only need a little bit to get a great lather. The scent of the 1445 is pleasantly refreshing. If you are a straight razor shaver, Castle Forbes is a game changer. Highly recommend.
