I often wonder why my kids love these books so much. I guess it's because it's always encouraging to see that there's someone who's worse than you at something, or in a worse situation than you, which makes you feel better about yourself.The writing is the usual Kinney fare, with the normal blend of craziness, humour, slapstick fun and family squabbles.The kids really loved the book, and had it read in about two days. Bought for an 8 year old and a 10 year old. It was easy enough for them to read, no difficult words or complicated concepts. It's just a nice fun way to get the kids reading rather than playing with the tablet.
