Tasty ground beef subsitute
My son can't tolerate soy, and this is a good substitute. Great for tacos, sloppy Joe's, chili and egg rolls. Lightweight so good for travel and camping. Rehydrates quickly. We use Better than Boullion No Beef to flavor it.

High protein
Much better than the competition. More protein specifically!

A new staple for my kitchen!
I am not able to tolerate soy protein, nor gluten, so tofu and seitan are off-limits to me. I need to keep up with my protein needs (I do work out and have cardio in my routines throughout the week) so enter PEA PROTEIN! Yes, I have some pea protein powder which I use in the most typical fashion (in oatmeal or yogurt) but what about savory dishes? So I decided to try this product Acre-Made Textured Pea Protein crumbles. Wow! It will take whatever seasoning you give it and hold on, absorb it in a big skillet sauté or a pot of stew... what a lifesaver this is, and it's SO easy on the fussy stomach, all while not affecting my food intolerances. A true winner.

Clean Protein You Can Make It Into Anything!
This pea protein is a rare find.It really does tast/feel just like meat when mixed in other foods. I use it to make "pea-a-roni" macaroni and seasoning, maybe tomato sauce too. Add it to spaghetti and you can't tell the difference, its like you're eating spaghetti and meat.I even made it taste like crunchy bacon bits on a salad. The only draw back for ME is, it is FILLING. I don't like having that "full" feeling because it bothers me at work. You don't need much either. I only use 1/4 a cup in a meal, thta's enough for me. It has a lot of protein packed in a small serving! So, be prepared to be filled-up after adding this, it is a clean protein and didn't cause any inflammation to me or weird food sensitivuty issue, which I now get when eating store bought meats, which is why I had to get plant based proteins like this one.

Delicious (when not following package instructions!)
When I cooked the crumble following the package instructions, it was barely ok. BUT if cooked like this, it is truly mouthwatering as it absorbs the flavors better & it becomes much softer: boil equal parts protein to liquid (I used veggie stock), at low temperature; I added salt and powdered spices. I made yummy tacos with avocado. Skip their instructions!

Awesome!
Awesome meat substitute! Quick and easy to prepare. Just heat in a pan with some water and season! Reminds me of ground turkey. Don’t try to eat it as a cold cereal as some have suggested. It’s not good that way.

It really is unflavored, lol
I've tried several pea and soy protein crumbles, (and if you've ever eaten meat from most popular fast food restaurants you have as well) but this was my first time trying unflavored crumbles. I don't think I like it. The preflavored ones seem to take flavor better than adding it after the fact. Seasoning didn't really seem to marinate this pea protein very well. Perhaps flavored broth or stock would, but I wasn't a huge fan of the unflavored aspect of it. Despite the instructions not saying to try this, I'm going to try it with some beef flavored broth and see it that improves it's ability to absorb and retain flavor. Texture wise it's similar to most veggie crumbles albeit on the smaller size. It certainly wasn't bad, and for the right price I'd order it again forging my usual brand which is quite pricey.

My best discovery!!!
I absolutely love this product! It is so versatile! The easiest way to add protein. Absorbs season well and can be added to any dish to replace ground meat.
