Great seat
This is a great raised toilet seat. It was very easy to install, with good instructions. It's very secure, which makes me wonder about some negative reviews to the contrary. It was most likely human error. I recommend using a screw gun to tighten the bolts. I highly recommend this product.

A MUST for post op home recovery of hip surgery
I purchased this for a loved one’s hip replacement recovery for home use. The height was great. It was a breeze to install and sturdy. It’s comfy too! The price was reasonable. The handrails fit a slender space- but that is subjective, so common sense says measure twice. Good day:)

FIT MY TOTO ELONGATED TOILET COMMODE
This works very well to elevate the height of the toilet commode on my Toto toilet. At first, the arms felt a bit flimsy and flex a little, but they are in fact stronger than they look. Because the two surfaces that mate, i.e. porcelain and plastic are so smooth, I needed to use some rubber between the two to keep them stable, but overall I would buy this again and it has been helpful while convalescing from a total hip replacement surgery.

Perfect for my Mother Post Surgery!
I bought this for my mother after she had foot surgery. She is disabled and cannot put any weight on her foot for 5 or 6 months. It was very difficult for her to put get on and off the toilet. This is truly a life saver! I was helping her get on and off the toilet before this came in cause I could only imagine her falling and breaking something or causing her to place weight on her foot (which is a big no no after surgery). This item not only allows her to feel more confident in using the bathroom by herself, but makes it so much easier for her to sit down and get up with the arms!It was super easy to install, but I would recommend installing it for a loved one as it does take some bending (in order to unscrew the old toilet seat and screw in the new one).Only thing I will say is that the bars aren’t very wide for anyone that has extra hips/booty. Also, it need to be tightened at times, as would a regular toilet seat.Overall, I would and will recommend this to anyone that needs that extra lift and support!!

Great quality…if it fits your toilet
First let me say, I’m a home health/hospice nurse so I am very familiar with medical equipment and have ordered and installed two of these for clients. Let’s start with the good qualities…the raised toilet seat is well made, the rubber around the arm rests lasts and is very durable, the height is perfect & there are no sharp edges/quality issues. However, both raised toilet seats fit poorly and didn’t feel “tight” when using as a point of contact while moving to the seated position which is the most important and of highest concern. Another concern was that both raised toilet seats didn’t allow the normal seat to rest on it correctly and both clients ended up using the raised toilet seat without a toilet seat on it due to fear of falling because it was so loose feeling. Finally, one of the raised toilet seats required additional bolts to mount to the toilet because the provided bolts didn’t fit correctly. Although the quality of this raised toilet seat is good I wouldn’t recommend it due to it being poor fitting.

Poor design, hard to install, not secure, might be a fall risk.
Rarely to I give 1 star reviews. I often just return poor products, get a refund and move on. In this case with the nature of the use, guess we will keep it.1. The attachment hardware contains washers that are too small for the forward backward positioning slot opening in the seat. Problem here is that they end up going in at an angle.2. The wider plastic washer also is too small for slot but I expect it was for under the toilet. Problem here is that there are newer better parts for the under part of ceramic toiled that come with seats event form Walmart. They snug up into the opening and damage nothing.3. The wing nuts for the under toilet seat cannot be turned all the way as they eventually hit the side of the bowl and cannot be turned. This could be depending on the bowl design but again see #2 as a manufacture like this should be aware of better parts. Bottom line is seat would never be tight.4. I used the better connectors from the regular seat we had to take off and we bought from Walmart. Their threads worked with the bolt supplied.5. To tighten down, you had to have the washer either at one end or the other end of the forward back positioning slot to prevent it tilting into the slot. So if your best position was anywhere but those two locations it would not work unless you found better washers. Even at that you would find it hard to keep the bolts at those positions as you locked it down.6. The head of the bolts and washer are on the seat surface so expect bolt marks in your behind. The seat should have a recess for them and a cover.7. The height is not much more than a good padded seat but is higher.8. Seat is not soft but that seems to be the standard.9. There is no lid. Expect your dog drinking it.10. Cleaning it is ok, but to clean between it and the top of the toilet seat is going to be a big job because you will have to unbolt it. Mold will build in that crack. Again there are easy to lock and unlock mechanisms for seats and the mfg should use them.11. Handles are strong but have no adjustable levels. For the price, this is a gross overcharge and the product is not something of quality to expect from a brand name. I suspect that what is offered here was a fully packaged manufacturing batch that had wrong hardware and it was pawned off to another distribution channel or vendor to get rid of it.

Gets the job done!
I recently had a 2 level fusion in my spine and wanted something to make it a little easier getting up and down. This product has been very stable and done exactly what I wanted! I like having those handles on either side so I have something to brace on as I sit down. If I have a complaint, and it's a very small one, the plastic washers that are supposed to help secure it are not very good. It's always possible I did not use them correctly, but the have too much flex. But the seat is still secure so overall I give the product 5 stars!
