I love this product. The secret to amazing stews, bolognese etc. The seller wrapped rack packet of stock so meticulously it was like they were fine China. Excellent.

I used to buy these at Waitrose then they stopped selling them. They are a lovely stock cube. I use instead of salt when cooking mushrooms (only a tiny amount required) and they totally lift the taste. I also use them in soups and find the flavour much preferable to a chicken stockcube as I don’t always want to have a background note of chicken in for example a vegetable soup.

The best 'wild' mushroom stock cube. In response to the usual absurd Q. 'what do I use it for?',naturally I bury the cubes in the garden in order to get a god crop of Porcini.

Really good quality stock cubes - rich and full of deep, woody mushroom flavour. I use mine for risottos.

I love the flavour of these but, as they are full of monosodium glutamate, they are very much a low class product, and will not impress your more educated friends if they find out you have used them

Knorr make slightly better Porcini cubes which are unavailable in the UK; Star are obtainable here only through this outlet. If you're not too much of a snob to use cubes, these are invaluable for casseroles and sauces. Service okay.
