Easy to use and a nice compact size.

Not as good as the Philips planisphere imho
This is a sturdy durable planisphere with vinyl protective sleeve.The diameter of the planisphere is 10.5 inches while the star area diameter is 9.5 inches.Here are thePROS-Stars are mapped on a dark background like the night sky.-Planisphere has an appealing look, gold/dark blue-Compact-Water resistant (except may be central metal eyelet)-Transparent protective vinyl sleeveandCONS-Comes bare with no booklet; basic instructions are behind the planisphere; planet data may be obsolete-1 inch smaller in diameter than the Philips planisphere which I prefer--Constellation lines too thin-Some constellation lines joining stars missing, not helpful, incomplete-Star names font color difficult to read against dark background (note that I am color-blind)-No mention of horizon degrees around the planisphere, just hoursIn conclusion:This can be a nice alternative or back-up to the Philips planisphere if the latter is not available or too expensive, imho.
