Agatha Christies Poirot: Complete Cases Collection (DVD 33-Disc Set)

Who does not absolutely love David Suchet? Who does not absolutely love Agatha Christie? Put them together and what more could you want?I noticed some reviewers commented on the quality of the DVDs. I have had a couple of them that seem to stick in spots. They all needed cleaning, nonetheless they all work. You can’t beat the price as this contains the entire series. I am now on my second time watching it through. It just seems like the evening isn’t complete without Hercule Poirot, Hastings, Miss Lemon, and Japp!

Nice collection if you like Agatha Christie.

Th3 first disc did not play at all and the second disc started malfunctioning 5 minutes into the episode. Returned for a full refund.

I watched this on PBS many years ago and whenever I could find any episodes playing. I finally decided that like an old friend it is fun to visit every so often. This DVD set will give you many hours of great Agatha entertainment. Each disc played perfectly.

Like others, I found that at least one of the discs was not consistently playable in a DVD/Blu-Ray player that plays every other DVD I have put in it without errors or problems. The problem disc was initially not recognized at all; after loading and unloading it a few times, it was recognized as a DVD, and appeared playable, but subsequently consistently failed to play the end of one specific episode. Interestingly, my desktop's DVD burner had no apparent difficulty reading and copying the problem disk, and a DVD-R copy of it worked satisfactorily in the original DVD player. Others may not, however, have the facilities to implement this solution to the problem!

Purchased this set for my 90+ year old mother who is a huge Agatha Christie/Poirot fan. She loves watching the vintage TV shows starring David Suchet on her portable DVD player (her apartment complex doesn't offer cable TV or Wifi so this, and reading, are her primary forms of in-home entertainment). This is a great option for similar fans of Poirot and the TV series.

Best series ever!

I've been an admirer of David Suchet as Poirot for years. I have had problems playing the first disc in the series, but now I'm halfway through and that's the only problem I've come across. Whoever Acorn got to produce the DVD cases and the DVD labels did a crap job of it. The cases fall apart when trying to remove the DVDs and the label graphics are not consistent through the series. So I just bought a cheap DVD case I'll store the DVDs in there.
