Inspector Morse: The Complete Series [DVD]

There are 17 discs in this set. Two discs were unviewable. Discs 11 & 12, season 6, episodes 1,2,3 & 4. Episodes 1 & 3 started out fine but then would not view. Episodes 2 & 4 were completely unviewable. The final episode (5) (disc 13) for season 6 was fine. I like and enjoyed the series. I will contact the supplier so I can request a replacement season 6.

Entertaining, a lot of English dry humor and was happy to pick it up on sale. Rationing myself to half a program a day. Trying to make it last. Very happy so far with the image quality.

Finished Endeavor and we are enjoying seeing how Endeavor's characters were portrayed in the original Morse series.

I love the Morse series (actually all of them, starting with Endeavor)...and wanted this to add to my videos, so when I saw the price it was a no brainer.

One of the best series ever produced. Colin Dexter created Morse, a character we have grown to love and needless to say the spinoffs have been just as good. If you haven't seen it don't hesitate! Discs played very well, sounds clear.

I absolutely love this entire series but the packaging is some of the worse I've ever seen. I had to put every disc in a separate case. The original case totally fell apart. I used individual jewelry cases. Five stars for the series minus a star for the packaging.

Having been a fan of the Inspector Morse series from the very first episode, I was very happy to see the entire series for sale. This is my second time purchasing this set of DVDs since I'm starting to wear the first one out. A lot of people consider the Morse character to be a grumpy, arrogant, not a very nice man, and that is exactly what he is the odd time, possibly more so than other people, but given his career choice this isn't surprising. I like the fact that he is also human, intelligent and always interesting. The stories are always intriguing, although I have my favorites, and find this series on parr with other series like VERA, Taggart, George Gently and some of the other British crime shows which never seem to disappoint the viewers.

My husband is a huge Inspector Morse fan, so I purchased the box set for him for Christmas. The only thing you have watch for is that the DVD's are made for Canadian units in order to have no difficulties with viewing.

Sadly the picture is not sharp & crisp, but is fuzzy & out-of-focus a bit. Not terrible but still disappointing. Sound good & thankfully subtitles are there & fantastic. Just wish the picture was better.
