Print too small and illustrations all in black and white. Not suitable for children
This edition is emphatically not for children. The essay by G K Chesterton -much longer than Robert Browning's poem- is worth reading if you have spectacles powerful enough to enlarge the minuscular print. It would put most children off the poem for life UNLESS the reader-aloud could convey the magic of the Browning rhythms. Lesson learnt? Don't buy children's books unseen. .

My favourite illustrators and this is a book I didn't previously know about, so I'm chuffed to bits with it.

It's the Pied Piper again.
I was looking for an individual copy of the Pied Piper of Hamelin for sometime and this fitted the bill. Nothing fancy just nice and clearly printed. It has the added bonus of a Robert Browning biography. A good buy.

not good quality
The poem it'self is lovely, as usual, but this version is printed in essentially a pamphlet, a flimsy cardboard cover and non glossy paper, not many illustrations either. so if you are just looking for a copy of the poem, that's fine. but if your actually looking for something to read to children for example, pick a different copy.
