Silvertrainer Metal Silver Practice Butterfly Balisong Trainer Knife

Overall a good trainer for its price, wasn't expecting something amazing, but it did the job before I would spend a lot of money on a real one.When I first recieved this trainer and took it out of the box, the packing was messed up. Also, the knife itself had many scratches towards the middle of the knife, and a little banged up on the handles. I did not buy the knife used by the way.The one problem with this trainer and with other actual butterfly knifes that you shouldn't buy, is the latch on the bite handle. When you are flipping it such as doing a full twirl, or switching to icepick grip, the latch with get caught in between the bite handle and safe handle.This can get quite annoying espically for a real butterfly knife. Overall, you get what you must expect from a $10 butterfly knife trainer.

Well...it wore out in less than 12 hours. Screw came loose and flew somewhere.Benchmade shouldn't put their name on this thing. Or maybe it was fake. But it was $10 trainer. Maybe if I checked the screws more frequently...Anyway, I will order another or 2. What is $10 or $20 more for my safety? I bought the $300 benchmade 43 model.Just check your screws after practicing for a couple hours.Otherwise, good weight, fun to practice with.What do you expect for $10? A $5 pay raise?

Purchased this just as a toy to flick around in my hands.Unfortunately the pins that attach the handles to the "blade" are far too tight and the metal used for the screws is extremely soft. I accidentally stripped a screw head without any effort almost immediately after opening the product. :\Still neat, though! Just be careful. :)

Definetly needs lube to work better. Super rusty and refusing to move at first. Like can't flip at all. But with lube it's probably better than any other trainer out there. Easy feel, comfortable. Only if it was pre-lubed it'd be good for 5/5.

It was so nice and amazing looking and it swung easy and it has the perfect weight. It didn't pinch or hurt when you swung it fast but the first time I dropped it the bite handle fell apart. I used it for like 3 hours and it broke. Still an amazing building though.

It fell apart after about one and a half month of use. My friend took it home to tighten it. But it worked well during that one and half month, and it is probably keep working well after getting fixed.

Overall good practice knife, however, it didn't take long for the bite handles latch and screw to fly off mid flip. Even after tightening it and superglueing it, it still wants to come loose and fly away. Very frustrating.

I bought this a few years ago and i still have it and it works perfectly. The handle it did break at one point, but it was nothing a new screw couldn't fix. I since have moved on to the real thing but I still enjoy picking this up from time to time.
