They are so cute!
This small plates are really cute! I am taking a lot of pictures of them holding my home-made sweets and treats gluten, dairy and sugar free, of course! I am cleaning them with warm soapy water and then dry them with a dry cloth and store them safely to not damage them. Good product, recommended.

Must admit I didn't check size before ordering & went by description ! Too small to be of any real use would have returned only busy with other Christmas things

OK - A little disappointing
These are ok - they are just as described and shown - but in reality they look a bit like seconds - a bit knocked about. I purchased them to serve deserts on - but they are just a bit too small for this - and two of my little glasses of desert slid to the floor. I have ordered some alternative slates - which are bigger, cheaper and better (although one of those arrived broken)... and which don't have the funny little plastic feet on the bottom which are another hazard.

KitchenCraft Slate Coasters Two Double Sized Good Value
This is a make I’ve heard of before and tend to like as far as kitchen stuff goes. This set of two slate mats are fine for using for serving desert on makes it look stylish and even better in our house means the larger placemats I already bought a while back go with them. Another use I’ve found is also using them as candle coasters as they can take a medium sized candle nicely. Ideal for serving maybe your cheese course on or just as a mat for your glass of mulled wine. They wash well easy to wipe over to clean and no loose bits of slate seem to come off them which is a good thing. No sharp edges to mark tables either. They are quite a bit heavier than your usual coaster type mats though.

Look great but maybe not the most economic way to buy slate
These small rectangular slates look very fine on the table with, say, a nice goats cheese or a couple of wine glasses seated on them. They are a good thickness which gives me confidence that I won't need to be too precious with them. But in the end, buying a couple of them like this seems quite expensive, especially if you are familiar with the price of roofing slate that is ultimately very similar.
