I should preface this review by saying that I am not monitoring diabetes. Rather I am on the keto diet and out of curiosity wanted to see if my body was producing excess ketones. I also wanted to see how long after I had a 'cheat' day that I would return to ketosis. I think for these purposes this product is a reasonable but not an essential purchase.The sticks are simple to use and do indicate the presence of ketones. It should be noted that these sticks are not as accurate as the blood-based ones and are not meant to closely monitor blood ketone levels. I would recommend using them first thing in the morning, as after eating, it may take some hours before ketones are detected in the urine again.

I was a bit hesitant to buy as reviews said they don't work but I think you need to reach full ketosis for them to show that they do. Four stars as some were dud but luckily I had another packet (given to me after this purchase) so I double-checked sometimes, hence I knew I was in ketosis even though it didn't how. But, this has only been with two so far. Would buy again.

These keto sticks are great for fasting testing.Bayer is always a good make.I also got these strips cheaper than another seller of the same product.

These seem to work, I felt the reading was accurate. Problem is about 5 days after I first used them, I decided to re-test. I opened the container and every single test was positive, so into the bin they went. I decided to give the product the benefit of the doubt and assume it was something I did that caused this problem (like breathing too close to the container or something) and I have re-ordered. Hopefully it wont happen again. If you are going to use this product then be sure to handle it correctly.

I use this product a few times a week to check if I am still producing ketones. I am! However it is my understanding that the accuracy is questionable. I am happy that if I am getting a reading then I must be doing something right! I range from pale pink to deep purple so I know it is definitely reading differences in my pee.The packaging was very good and kept the product from any damage. The bottle has the reference range clearly on the side - what more could you want?

For a first time ever I have started a low carb diet and I was looking of an item, that could determine if I'm in ketosis.I decided to buy these strips because of good reviews and it was a very good decision!They are so easy to use and give instant (15 seconds) result if the ketones are present in the urine.There are 50 strips in a box, so it's a month and a half supply.
