Instructions are minimal. To function it must be in full sunlight. It does not have a battery to work on cloudy days. Is a cool addition to birdbath.07/30 no longer working even in direct sunlight less than 15 days after purchase. Very disappointed. SEE PHOTOS TAKEN 07/29.

Makes a very nice spray of water. My only problem was due to the fountain traveling around my birdbath. When it's near the side of the birdbath, much of the water spray gets sprayed outside the birdbath. Has to be filled often. If it were tethered in the middle of the birdbath the problem would probably go away.

It took some tinkering to use it exactly how I wanted. It works wonderfully for what I wanted to use it for, I live in an upstairs apartment with a balcony and I wanted a water feature for noise. I used and old pot, a plant tray and aquarium rock for the bottom and this fountain and made this bubbler fountain. It works only under direct sunlight. When it’s cloudy it works less from a slow steady stream to a few spurts a second. The solar part is great because there is no outlet and I didn’t want to be burdened with replacing batteries.

This thing was inexpensive and has mixed reviews, but this is pretty amazing. It attracts hummingbirds with it's high spray, which a bubbler doesn't do. It also sounds great when you are sitting in the backyard, like a little babbling brook.

It worked well! But the sun would have to be directly on it. And if there's a teeny tiny shadow on it it completely stops

I got this for my nephews pet turtle when we put her outside in the kiddie pool. A little bit of cloud cover causing the fountain to stop working, but when it's sunny it's a robust spray from such a small unit. It works well for the purpose I needed. A bonus is that she plays with the fountain and it keeps working

I have a interest in all things solar as the cost of electric is not going down any time soon. All my feathered things love it.
