Works as described.
This is a small, light, self buoyant, waterproof and rugged camera. It works as described. Picture quality is quite good (but not like a decent DSLR) and, perhaps unfairly, that's why I've docked a star.Seems strong and well built. Sold at a very acceptable price.

Poor quality not as described.
I bought this camera ready for a holiday in Egypt. I'm currently on said holiday and have used it for 2 days snorkeling of the beach. In water that was never deeper then 6ft as I could always reach the floor with my head above water. Snorkeling then over shallower coral outcrops. First of all... the screen is rubbish. You can't see anything in it when underwater. My old camera screen I could see fine so I know it's possible. The auto focus is rubbish which means point and click is very hit and miss. First that you actually have what you want in frame and second that if you do it's in focus. Again you can't check till later as you can't see the screen. The biggest issue is it is currently on charge and repeatedly cycling itself power on power off because despite being well within the maximum stated depth. The deepest the camera has been is probably 5ft from the surface. The screen seal looks to have failed. Allowing water into the camera.I am currently trying to charge the camera and keep it turned off. Battery compartment and memory slot area are bone dry. I'm used to this kind of camera and understand how important making sure its clean and properly locked prior to use.I shall be returning this after the holiday as it was defective. I just hope that I have a few decent photographs prior to it failing. Do not buy. Don't risk it ruining your holiday.Oh... and I don't know yet if this is important. But in the packaging was a note from the seller saying do not contact amazon for a dispute/refund but to contact the seller direct. We shall see how that goes. But thought it strange reading it when I first opened the box. Like they were already expecting issues.

Kodaks 'Tough' Camera is water, sand, dust & shockproof. Its also excellent for general photography.
This is a very competent 'tough' zoom camera at a very good price ( £158 on Amazon ) It's rugged dustproof, sand proof, shockproof & waterproof down to 50 metres ( 165 ft ) and will fit into a jacket pocket. I have used it in teeming rain, swimming pools, seawater and of course on the beach - all with no problem. It has a built-in flash, optical zoom lens [ wide angle to short telephoto ], wi-fi, numerous scene modes including underwater. Also present are the usual shooting choices including Auto, Programme, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Manual & Panorama. Video can be shot in full HD.The viewing screen is bright, clear and easy to use both above and under water. It also performs very well as a general use camera for snapping everything from family groups to scenic views. The 4 x optical zoom lens copes well with both very bright and low light. Using the built in flash you can shoot in very poor light or use it to ' fill in ' and even out the amount of light needed for any picture.Does it really work under water - yes it does, though fifteen feet is the lowest I have ever taken it. Is it worth the money - yes, for use both as a specialist camera and as one for all general photographic uses.Is it fun - definitely!

The lens is not covered. This makes it less rigged
My daughter Just unpacked her new Kodak WPZ2 . The camera looks great, but the first thing that surprised me was that the lens does not have a cover, or a way to protect the lens. This to me is a design flaw. Is there a cover one can buy for the lens? Also there should be a mention that the SD card is not included, and an offer to buy that together with the camera (like the mention of the camera case). While I did not interfere with the selection of the camera, I find the exposed camera lens an issue especially if in a desert, beach or rugged terrain (or in the hands of children) a drawback. One can buy a cover for the back screen, but I think the design should include a solid exterior to protect the camera lens and screen. This looks like a design flaw to me.I will do an update here after buying her an SD card and taking a few photos.

Very Impressed (updated)
I bought this to take on holiday in a few weeks I damaged one of my DSLR lens last year as sand got into it and I wanted to do some underwater photography.I wasn't expecting much and thought I would end up sending it back due to low quality images, turns out I was wrong. I have tested it my local area and got some very good pictures. The manual mode was bonus I got some good waterfall shots. I shall be keeping and I am looking forward to taking it in the sea.The video quality is also very good. The only minor annoyance is the timer resets itself after each shot. The app you can download and put on your phone is not very good, it keeps loosing connection so I won't be using that.Overall very impressed.Update 9/10/2024I took this camera on holiday to Croatia and got some great pictures. It mean't did not have carry my DSLR and I got some good underwater shots when I went snorkelling.A very, very good camera.

Easy to use great quality images
I have used this for the past 10 days on a beach holiday with quite a bit of snorkelling. The camera is easy to use and has taken good quality images for its price and size. The scene modes produce good images the attached images were in underwater mode and sunset mode and auto mode.I have not taken my proper camera out of its case so far, this more more than upto the job for my needs. The Wi-Fi link has been great, no issues in connecting to my ipad and staying connected. I have been down loading over 100 images and movies at a time. The Wi-Fi option means I can down load images by the pool/ beach without using a card reader. When snorkelling you can still see the image on the screen so you have a decent idea of what you will get.Battery life seems okay I have it on when snorkelling so it’s ready when I need it , hard to quantify how long it’s on as a result but it’s not let me down so .
