Very useful second screen
This is the second one I bought. The additional display is very useful for my Tesla Y.Installation is moderately hard to do by one person.Their instruction is useless. You need to go on YouTube to search for similar product installation. One of the legs broke but it still hold well

Stopped working correctly after Tesla FW update
[Even Later Update]I finally had a chance to load the FW update. Now, the HUD is bricked. It looked like it started to load, then turned to a night display (it was definitely daytime), and all of the readings were wrong. It's not turning off. Close the door and walk away—everything else turns off except this now bricked accessory.[Latest Update]After the latest Tesla FW update, the HUD charge percentage is always 17%, with some ridiculously large remaining miles. In the attached photo, the car is at 94% (I was heading out on a long round trip), but the Hud says 17%.After a little Googling, I found this on the Hansshow website: "Please upgrade the software to solve the problem of the incorrect battery and mileage display after the 4.6 5.16 f68 f62p Tesla upgrade."[Update]I was able to configure the display. Getting into the mode was a little confusing because the manual says something like right side steering wheel scroll wheel 5-second click, but you have to click it to the right for 5 seconds. When in the configure display you can turn off the acceleration graphic (which this is much better without), and you have the choice of two UI modes. I prefer UI2. The manual talks about touch screens and convenience features, but as far as I can tell, this model doesn't have either. Still, the display is growing on me. It's in a better place to see status than the center display. And given my post-50 eyes, it's much easier to read.[Original]I regularly drive both a Rav4 and a Model Y. The Y is mine, and the Rav is my wife's. Switching between the two can be jarring. This HUD is intended to reduce some of that whiplash. The installation was straightforward. I watched the install video several times and read the instructions multiple times, but somehow, I still missed the memo on a step in the wiring installation. I figured it out (it was obvious that I had missed something). The display is small, but that's okay with me. However, it tries to jam too much into that small space. I'm older and find UIs designed by twenty-somethings hard to read. They are either too small, too little contrast, or both. This is almost too small. I can read the mph, but the psi is impossible without my glasses. It's also a little too in your face. I don't need special graphic while accelerating. I'm hoping that's configurable, but the instructions for configuring it don't seem to work. I need to dig into that a bit more.My biggest issue isn't with the display but with the vendor. They shipped me a return. It was missing the pry tool, and it was obvious I wasn't the first to get it. The device was okay, but a heads-up that it's a return rather than a new item would have been nice.

Search YouTube for alternative install instructions
Initially frustrated that the instruction set/video showed routing cabling under the dash and requiring removal of a panel under the steering column, only to find that it did not consider that airbag module under the steering column for the later models. Was going to return, found alternative install videos from users by taking off the dash trim. The mini screen is now installed, performs as intended.

Great product but need to redesign
The dash monitor is working great, but it has blocked the airflow of the fan. I had to increase the fan to max speed in order to feel the airflow. This product needs to be redesigned so that air can flow from the back.

Great display at night
Installed today in about an hour. Quite challenging to get to the gray plug in the passenger foot well, but I did it. Very clean installation and it works really well. I'd be happy if it didn't play the splash video every time you turned it on though. Should you get this display? 100%... it should have come with the car.

Product abandoned by Hansshow
Tesla's 2024.20.1 car firmware update makes this display the wrong battery % and range value. Around the same time, Hansshow removed this product from their web site so you can't find any firmware updates to fix the problem on their site. They don't respond to support emails. This same display is sold by other resellers and I eventually found a firmware fix on Reddit by searching for "Hanshow mini display bad behavior". Who knows if the next car firmware incompatibility will be fixed at all or where the update might be found. Also note that recent Tesla vehicles have an air bag under the steering wheel so you can't pry open that panel as shown in the (poorly made) install video. Instead, cables should be routed through the dash board. Search videos for "Hansshow Ultra Mini Display Screen v3".

Keeps your eyes on the road
I think this mini dash helps from turning your head and fondling the main screen to figure out miles or tire pressure. Installation was straight forward, but definitely watch YouTube as the included directions are lacking to say the least. I like all information provided on the screen, which could have used a larger font (maybe a future theme firmware upgrade). Airflow is unobstructed which is a big reason I went with this option. I also like that, as the steering wheel is adjusted so is this screen. Polarized sunglasses definitely dim screen in sunlight however I could still read the attenuated display. At night the screen is noticably brighter (dark mode) than the main display. The brightness is auto adjusted with the main display but it's still bright. Overall for the price is an excellent addition to the seamless dash.
