I used this with my old Dell Vostro laptop, the speakers on which are next to useless. Plenty of volume and a surprising amount of bass. Not hi fi sound by any means, but it is what it is....a cheap simple speaker. The unit draws power from a USB port, and picks up audio through a 3.5mm plug from the computer's headphone jack. The operating system isn't involved at all....no drivers needed....so it will work with any version of Windows, Linux, etc. provided the computer has a USB port and a headphone jack. Inline volume control wheel on the cable.

Clear sound at a decent volume. My only complaint is for the location of the volume switch. My computer is under the desk, and that's the volume switch is, behind the computer. I set it up with the in-line switch set at max, and I control volume with keyboard buttons. I'm not a game or music addict, so it works well for me. The price is right.

These small speakers are powerful! They are so very easy to use - just plug, and play...how simple is that? My only drawback comes with the audio. The speaker sits on 4 small feet and the audio is pointed down to the surface where the sound hits. Laying it on it's side takes care of that. Great value. Hoping that the unit will last a very long time. Super convenient!

When this arrived, I quickly tested it; it worked, volume was OK, in-line switch worked, etc. I unplugged it and set it on my desk; when I returned to use it a couple of days later, there is only static. The appears to be a problem with the USB connection or a short in the cord. Now I have to return it; disappointing.Update: I returned the original speaker and ordered a second one; it worked fine out of the box. In addition, there was a coupon inside for an additional free speaker. The company randomly places cards in their shipments, and sometimes they are for a free items. When the free item arrives, I will upgrade the review again.

My speakers were making a buzzing sound. Very annoying. But I put off buying speaker thinking it would cost too much money. This little speaker works fantastic. So inexpensive! And I plugged it in in one minute and it was set up with no drivers to install, no nothing My 8 year old Dell computer is running Windows 10. The sound is crystal clear I have no problems with it at all. I really love it. I wish I hadn’t waited to buy it and put up with my crummy speaker as long as I did!

My laptop is too soft and I often have trouble hearing it. I decided to buy this Meetuo speaker, and when I received it, I was very pleased with the results.I liked it so much, a few days later I purchased a 2nd speaker - now I just leave my 2 speakers in those areas of the house where I would mostly bring my laptop. If I need some extra sound, I plug the speaker into my laptop, and I am good to go. A perfect solution for me.Price is very reasonable, quality is good. You need to use both plugs as shown in the photo.A+ I will be checking out other products by this company.

Purchased this to use with my laptop because volume on the speakers makes it difficult to hear clearly due to poor volume.Audio quality is what you'd expect for a speaker under $20 but is fine for listening to zoom calls & other conversations. I can turn the laptop volume all the way up & this speaker all the way up & it's actually too loud.Also liked that this speak would plug directly into the laptop instead of relying on bluetooth.I'd recommend it so far.

I bought this because the speakers on my Acer laptop just didn't have enough volume. Also wanted a single speaker so it didn't take up much room. Powered it with an external USB adapter and used the Bluetooth because I didn't want any wires dangling from the laptop. Everything worked out nice and clean. A tip for those who say the USB plug is defective : When I first plugged it in it didn't want to work so I gave the USB plug a shot of electronic contact cleaner and it straightened it right out.

I am using it as a computer speaker. Works well. Easy to use. Good sound.
