This door handle turned out to be an exact match for the previous one. One of the levers on the old handle had broken off. The new handle was very easy to replace and took only 10 minutes. It looks lovely and works perfectly.

The product is smaller than my original fitment, so the fixing screws needed to be repositioned. Overall the product seems well made and does the job.

As these are surprisingly heavy compared with those they are to replace, these are likely to be solid brass and not coated zinc. They are so similar in design to existing handles fitted throughout the home to appear indistinguishable at first glance. The immediate difference is the change of design of the knob that allows the lower mortice section to be opened and closed from within the room and a slight difference in the handles.The "Designer Levers Georgian Scroll Lever Door Handles, Bathroom Door Handle Set - Polished Brass - 1 Pair" are needed to replace a set where the interior springs were recently found to be broken on both sides. Broken at the same location within a millimetre or two of each other, but whether simultaneously or months or years apart isn't known - the problem only obviously arose 2-3 nights ago but nobody noticed or reported when the last working spring actually failed.Although removal and reassembly of the existing handles seemed simple after purchasing replacement springs that were apparently to the same spec as originally fitted, they are now misaligned and rest almost vertically rather than horizontally. Despite repeated disassembly and reassembly, there was no obvious way to ensure the correct handle alignment other than to use 2¼ rather than 2½ turn springs that we did not have. After spending almost two hours on what should have been a 10-minute job (5 each side), there was no desire to repeat the procedures.Its steel bar for the mortice section of the lock was about 25-30mm too long and needs to be cut, trimmed and filed smooth.Replacements were the simplest solution and they are surprisingly inexpensive.

Refurbed a property for letting the old handles had a 60s vibe to them so needed replacing these handles give a clean look to freshly painted doors and for £10 a pair worth the money.

Nicely priced very smart.

Overall a good product, decent quality compnents and a nice finish. But still feels a bit expensive for what it is. ONe significant issue though was the new spindle for the Lock was too short to fit, considering this is a standard internal door it should be the same as the previous one. Luckily as this was a replacement I was able to use the old one. I would double check your dimensions before ordering.
