US Made
Top quality! Extremely well made brass and rubber! Has plastic covers but what you expect when mostly everything is overpriced and junk... No comparison with other Chinese garbage. I got this used/open box item for about half price. Previous buyer cross threaded one fitting I used tap n die set and thread restorers, etc. Fixed perfectly with no leaks! This is Superior rubber hose with quick connection. Extremely happy at the price I paid, yet worth full price especially if you're planning on using it frequently. It's not a throw away like numerous others. Brass body is strong and solid especially since you know I was able to fix the threads. No purge valve. Use only on older car ac! The newest cars have different so be aware of that. If you own or work on 94-2016 you are good

Cornwell rebrand
Cornwell rebrands Mastercool products as their own. These things are made in the USA, and they work. I picked up this set after the suction line gasket on my Pittsburgh set failed, great decision I made. I’ve used these countless times on cars. My only gripe is that the low side quick connect on my set has an issue where it’s not pulling back enough to allow male ends on connections to push the ball bearings out of the way, making it more difficult to fit onto. These things don’t have a sight glass or purge valve, but that isn’t really a deal breaker in my book.

It worked...
..with one problem. The high-side EZ-connect o-ring came out when I took it off the port. I re-placed the o-ring, but the valve leaked the next time it was attached.I contacted MasterCool through the '888' number on the enclosed parts list to get a new o-ring. I would have been happy to buy one. I told them I'd had the product for only a month, still they said they did NOT provide parts to consumer users. I was given a number of 'dealer' names, one of them NAPA. I called a local NAPA outlet, gave them the confirmed (by Donna at MasterCool) o-ring PN. As I suspected, that number didn't mean anything to NAPA. I'll have to take the connector to the store to find a suitable o-ring. I'd RATHER have 'the part' from MasterCool to have some assurance it will be the correct part. Certainly, not all o-rings are created equal. The ports on the car I had the tool attached to were both capped. There is not much likelihood of the port being fouled with dirt/gunk to cause the o-ring to pop out. I am not an A/C person..just a DIY-er that's done EVERYthing on my own for decades, which does NOT make me an expert about anything in particular. Seems reasonable in hindsight to wipe a bit of teflon (fluid) /ATF on any A/C port before a connector is used.I've had failed products replaced after some years of use by vendors that do their best to provide support (Alps Mountaineering the latest). To get nowhere with a company whose product I've owned for a month and used once is NOT a 4/5 star situation.**update**I had emailed MasterCool, asking for verification of what I was told over the phone. They did respond, apologized for the NAPA problem, offered to send me an o-ring. Any warranty issue would require the item be sent back to them..and that was deemed to be unnecessary in this case. After reading of more than one problem with the quick-connect couplers, I opted to purchase a manual coupler instead.

Can not store the low pressure side on the manifold
I assembled the guage set and the hoses, and was attempting to put it into hanging storage. the low pressure connector can not be fit onto the low pressure storage fitting on the manifold. I dont know whether to return it for a new one or just live with it. everything else seems good but im really not sure until i start using it.

Mastercool 66661 Manifold Gauge Set
Pros:1) Made in USA - The product came in a plastic blister pack without a case but did say it was "Made in the USA" on the box.2) Price - This gauge set is amazing quality for the price. I went to Harbor Freight and looked at their manifold gauge set and even with a 25% off coupon it would cost about $50 this set is $30 more but it is much more than 1.5 times the quality of the Harbor Freight set.3) The metal knobs are super smooth to open and close, no binding what so ever. The hoses were very soft and flexible, they are marked 4000 psi burst pressure and 800 psi working pressure.4)The quick disconnect fittings have a very smooth operation, nothing feels like it is binding when using the quick disconnect fittings.Cons:1) No case, but if you keep the hoses on the manifold and use the provided adapters to hang the hoses on the manifold you could not put them in a case anyways unless the case was very large. This did not really bother me as I do not want to have to disconnect and reconnect the hoses every time I want to use the gauges.2)No gauge protectors - This is really the only thing I did not like about the set but it is not enough for me to deduct any stars as the quality of the set and price more than make up for this downfall.Bottom line, this set cannot be beat for the price, I see other manifold gauge sets which I know are import gauges for the same and more money than this set and why anyone would buy those sets does not make any sense because I can guarantee none of those sets are as high quality as this set. BUY THESE GAUGES NOW, you will not regret it at all!
