Tasted exactly like the ones I brought home from Scotland.

I'm very disappointed in these shortbreads. First off, the fingers are a slab with perforated lines, not separately baked fingers. They're thin and gummy, kind of like a bad cracker, but to call them crackers insults crackers. They're missing the deep butter flavor shortbread is all about. Every ingredient they use is substandard, from the salt to the butter (leaving out only sugar and flour as places to improve. ..... --- takes another taste---...... Yes, I think the flour & sugar are low quality too, maybe more than the butter. Tasting the butter requires reaching deep back into the flavor profile but it's there and it might even be a good butter; it's just so buried and misused.In the future I'll only buy the family/clan names like Walker, House of Edinburgh, etc. If you worry about gluten, skip the gluten free until after a celiacs small intestine biopsy. Apparently it puzzles people with celiacs why anyone would restrict themselves without a shred of evidence although the improved choice is a win for them.Disregard the box photo- those were filed and improved.

If you like mild butter flavor and not real butter, these are for you. They do not use all butter like other brands, but butter flavoring. They are not really fingers but scored bricks.
