For the price you can’t go wrong
This thing feels like it will last many many years. It’s feels like it’s made from the same type of material as the brown duck carhart bibs and jackets and that stuff is tough. I was on the fence between this one and another that was much more expensive and a friend has this one. Usually you get what you pay for but in this case I really feel like this one will last much longer. It feels a little heavier but the trade off is I need it to go through briars, bob wire fences and so on so a few more ounces is worth it for the durability. The only thing in my opinion that should be improved is the” spare blade holder” the blade has room to move around a lot more than I would like. If it has too much play it could eventually saw into the sheath. My opinion is they made it so you could put much wider blades in but for the boreal 21” it’s way wider than I would like. The top folds over nicely to cover the head of your hatchet or smaller axe which is nice but you still need something to cover the blade to protect you when it’s slung over your shoulder if your axe is sharp as it should be. This is no issue for me my axe has a small leather sheath that covers the blade. It feels great on your shoulder which is the way I carry it but also you have the option to take off the strap and connect it to you pack. The extra pocket for a knife is a good option but I always carry my knife on my belt so I use it for my axe sharpening tools in case I need to strop or I chip my blade in the field. I did notice a few places where the stitching was loose but a quick touch with a bic lighter solved it nicely. I don’t think it will cause any issues but I am using it a lot so if anything changes I will update. In case anyone is interested in waterproofing I used a block of bees wax. Rub it on an area then use a hairdryer to turn to a liquid then it soaks in. Then move to another spot till you have the whole thing done. It changes the color just a little but I think it looks better. When I used it in the rain I could see the water beading up and rolling off. This may be overkill for some but I use it in the rain a lot and am a firm believer in take care of your tools and they will take care of you. Hope this helps someone on the fence about this item. I think you will be happy with the quality for the price.

Nice Idea, execution...not so much
I purchased this sling to carry my 25 inch Forest Axe, 21 inch Sven saw, a file, a puck and some oil, hands free in the woods. This sling seems to be well made of a pretty heavy duty canvas, with a kind of waxy , oiled finish. The stitching is well done and abundant and the D rings, snap and clips seem up to the job.In practice, loaded with the equipment listed above, it doesn't quite work out so well. When slung cross body the weight of the axe ( 1.8 lb head) would make the whole assembly slide around , requiring me to keep a hand on the low end of the sling to prevent the top from sliding down and away from my back. When I tried it just on a shoulder, it was worse and still required a hand on the low end of the sling to prevent it from flipping over. Also with either type of carry, the two d-rings for the axe retention flap grind against spine while carrying the rig.Just for grins, I tried it upside down. The axe rode much better and fairly securely if you tighten up the strap, my saw did not fall out, but of course the not so small pocket was upside down and the file fell out. I really wanted to like this, really...but the design needs attention. There is probably a reason most slings like this have the axe head down,Back it goes ...Needless to say, but this rig will not allow me to carry my gear hands freeEDIT : 6/8/21 - Still waiting on refund

Impressed
Can't speak for the durability or value yet as it just now arrived but upon over all close inspection, I'm quite impressed. The material is very thick, like that of the best OLD military surplus stuff from WWII. It appears to be stitched together very well. There was only three pieces of thread left dangling at the end of the stitches and they melted not burned when singed off.I purchased for my Boreal 21 and it fits very well, I don't think it would have any problem holding the 24". The saw pouch is roomy enough; I would venture to say; that you could actually haul two of the Boreal saws in the scabbard. The opening for an axe does go all the way through or under the pouch you see on the front. The pouch wasn't deep enough for my smaller folding hand saw but is large enough to hold other necessary gear.I am quite happy with what I recieved and it doesn't break the bank like so many others with less features want to do.

Awesome Axe and Saw sling
For the $19.99 and the craftsmanship of this sling you cannot beat it. Other slings like cost $54.99 to $89. The sling has multiple pockets for at least two 24 inch Spring Creek or BOREAL24 saws or spare blade & one saw or one saw & one axe. The axe I carry is an Estwing 26 inch camp axe and a 24 inch Spring Creek collapsible saw. The sheath has a small pocket to put the sling away if not in use or you can fit a Pocketboy 130 folding saw. You can also clip on a Mora Companion next to the axe handle. I like being able to carry an axe, bow saw, folding saw, and knife all in one sling. When I am done store it in my truck ready for the next use. The canvas, stitching, snaps, sling, and buckles are all good quality. I may wax the canvas just to water proof the tools a bit for when I am walking around cutting wood for camp. I highly recommend this axe sleeve for camping.

Seems worth the money.
I haven’t gotten it out in the woods yet, so this is just my first impressions.Decent canvas. I’m planning on waxing it with otter wax to waterproof it a bit.The shoulder sling is a bit sub par, but easy enough to replace. It fits my Silky Bigboy 2000 as well as my Coughlan 21” saw (it actually easily holds both at the same time), and there’s plenty of room for a spare blade or 3.It nicely fits my Hultafors hunting axe. There’s nothing on it that states where it was made, so it’s probably made in China. That’s a big check in the minus column for me and I’m kicking myself for not checking before I purchased it. Mea Culpa. All in all, it seems like it might have been worth the money and I look forward to bringing it into the woods this weekend after I wax it.
