Definately is water proof and it does fit reasonably well. The chord to keep the hat on tight doesnt really do much. No matter whether I tighten or loosen it, it doesnt fit as I would want it to. But it stays on and keeps me warm and it was reasonably priced so all is well.

Looking a little goofy, but worked terrific at keeping the head dry and warm.

I really like this hat. Not a bulky hat, very thin which makes it good for summer at the coast, too. The ear flaps keep my ears warm and the strap under the chin keeps everything secure. Nice light cap. Warm fleece lining. The bill keeps the rain off my glasses, which I really needed. Good choice of a hat. May run a little big for some heads. It is a little loose on me. My husband got one too, fits him better. I have an average wig size head (look up wigs.comfor measurements and sizes. My wig size just fits into average. ( I'm in chemo treatment right now, so without hair, my head is smaller) but I had hair when I first bought this hat. It was still a little loose.

I needed a cap that would keep my ears warm but not be too heavy and bulky. It’s just what I needed. Plus it’s waterproof. It’s nice that the cap is easily adjustable and you can turn up the earflaps if you don’t need them. I chose the sky blue color. I really am enjoying it.

I have suffered from ear infections my entire life and got this for windy conditions when hiking. Put it on as soon as it got here and was surprised by the coverage. It covers the entire ear and with the chin strap won't be flying off my head. Shaped kind of like a baseball helmet. It has a lining that will keep the cold out and help really prevent wind from getting in. I like that you can fold the flaps up if they aren't needed. Not the most glamorous thing but for my purposes it will do what I need it too and that's what matters to me.

Nice hat but very wrinkled.tried to iron and burnt a hole in it

Kicking the door into 60 years of age, I have hesitated for decades to buy such a hat.But having to stand on a train platform on my way to downtown Chicago in the middle of winter (yes I go into the office every workday), I had to come up with a better solution than those wrap around earmuffs.So, on the days where I have to wear a parka with a hood, which annoys me due to how the hood drops down, I got this hat to put under my parka hood.It's an excellent solution. The hood no longer obscures my vision and the hat's bill both allows me a superior visibility and also works to keep snow and rain from dripping down onto my face.Plus, it's much warmer than those earmuffs since it covers the entire head and ears.Due to my vanity, I would never wear it without the parka hood, since I horrified myself in the mirror, but I am now carrying it every day to wear on that nasty, windy, brutal Winter train platform.

comfortable and warm

This hat is indicated for men but I'm a female with a large head and it's perfect for me. I bought it mostly because I have sensitive eyes and skin and the visor feature is effective... it's difficult to find winter hats with visors. Even wearing sunglasses in the winter doesn't completely block the sun's rays so this works well. It's warm and toasty and due to the fact the back of the hat is shaped to snuggly hug your head, it feels like a hood. The outer fabric seems good at breaking the wind. Walking my dog on winter mornings in Montreal can be uncomfortable, but I'd say I've found a good hat to keep me warm. I wore it at minus 5 degrees Celcius so it has not been tested in frigid temperatures. Style wise it's a bit goofy looking but not enough for me to take a star off. So for the effectiveness and the reasonable cost I give it five stars!

So warm and comfy on cold, windy days. Most toques give me an itchy head and don’t block the wind but this hat with the fleece lining and waterproof shell is awesome!

Wore it on a rainy and windy paddle in my kayak over the weekend. Did the job, kept my head and ears warm and dry. I took off the chin strap, and it still stayed on my head despite the strong head winds.

Good quality and fits well.

I like it because I can keep wearing it indoor as well with my ears uncovered.
