AGPtEK A18 8GB Sport Bluetooth MP3 Player&50 Hours Playback Lossless Sound Music Player (Supports up to 64GB), Blue

Purchased this in May 2018. One month later it would not turn on at all. Even when I plugged it into the computer it remained off. Sigh....UPDATE: 6-25-18I Contacted the seller asking for a replacement or refund since the product was no longer working and they recommended an approach to fixing it. After the approach did not work, they sent a new MP3 to replace the bad one at no extra cost. They were fast and courteous. I truly appreciate them taking the steps they did to fix the faulty player. So far it works great. But I have to give it some time to verify that, since it has only been a few days. But for the price it was worth buying and trying out.

It works mostly as intended. It can play the advertised audio formats (though ape and flac are finicky). Folder play function works fine, but the repeat function does not work, and upon reaching the end of a folder, regardless of repeat function being active, it will move onto another folder. I have not found a workaround to this yet. The bookmark function simply does not work, period. Clicking add bookmark does absolutely nothing, whatsoever. I have tested this on each audio format and on internal and external storage, and none have any effect on that function. (if anyone knows a way to fix this, I would be very appreciative, as this is a vital function for me). I commend the adding of necessary functions such as sleep and button lock without having extra buttons. Having those functions accessible via holding a button is a creative fix.EDIT: It appears that the device has issues with certain formats of sd card, and formatting the sd to exfat fixed it.

I had bought another mp3 player, that was so frustrating to use. This one is really good and I like it very much. The keys are sturdy and I just like it.Update 1/12/16. Though I really like this mp3 player, all of a sudden it stopped working. No reason at all. I was not able to see it on the computer. It acted so weird, and I couldn't reset it. I did restore factory settings, still didn't work, then I used the format option on the menu, still didn't work. I had to buy another one, same brand name as I really like how the menu work, but very disappointed.

I was happy with my first AGPTEK MP3 player, so I bought this one, too. It broke after 5 months; it only worked when plugged into a power source. I received a replacement under warranty, and in two months the second one had the exact same problem. I liked the features and operation when it worked, but since it’s useless to me now, it doesn’t make sense to go into further detail. Save your money for something else.

Bought two of these. I am completely satisfied with the functionality for myself and the simplicity for my daughter. I would like to note that although it was not listed in the specifications this device does support mp4. You might want to place a piece of duct tape over the micro sd card to avoid inadvertent disengagement. I could quibble about the limited bluetooth configuration capabilities or the inability to use playlists while in bluetooth, but to my way of thinking it would be ridiculous nitpicking when considering a device for which I paid less than $30.

This thing is awesome. Easy to copy and organize songs from my not-brand-new OSX Mac. Bluetooth works fine. I like the on-off switch and volume controls (which sounds stupid except that I had a similar Sony player that had stupid switches that were harder to use, would accidentally switch on/run down battery, and ultimately keys stopped working). I can tell this is a better design. Easy to navigate.

Great product for this price. Not too difficult to figure out for a technologically stunted person. Bluetooth works great. And wow, using for couple hours at work for almost 2 weeks & battery hasn't gone down at all. It will probably take me awhile to figure out all it can do but I can't wait.

I bought this unit specifically to use with Bluetooth headphones whilst exercising.First the good news, initial pairing was easy and straightforward.However playback via Bluetooth is separate from normal playback using wired headphones. You can't change tracks or even get back to the main menu without switching off! It really is a useless user interface for use with Bluetooth headphones.With wired or Bluetooth headphones when you switch off the unit "forgets" what track and where in it was and you have to reselect the track manually on restart.Finally the user instruction booklet is cursory and printed in such a small font it is unreadable without a magnifying glass.A deserved 1 star unit - avoid.

I've had this for a few days, for the price of under £20 I paid, i'm happy and it serves my purposes, but read further for a couple of niggles.Pros - Sound quality is great - Menu/UI performance is fine and easy to use, screen is adequate. - Plays all supported formats fine (but does not play WMA "Pro" (v10). I had to use WMA v9.2 - Battery life is phenomenal, it will never be an issue, you should be able to use this for a full week of heavy use quite easily. - Small, light, decent build quality (on first impressions) - Loading files works 100%, fast and simple USB connectivityCons - Pairs fine with the JBL bluetooth speakers which I primarily bought this for, but it would not pair when I happened to test it with my Amazon Echo. As yet I have not enquired about this with the advertised customer support or spent much time to figure it out so maybe they can help but I don't know - There is not much screen space reserved for displaying album/song names etc on screen, so leading characters in tags and file names will get cut off. Make sure you tag/name your files efficiently.- Album art frequntly doesn't display (but that's no concern to me)- When using the "music" view (which sorts albums/tracks via ID3 tags) it can show album tracks in weird orders, but if you use "folder view" instead it's OK - the screen does not go very bright so takes a while to read in bright outdoors sunlight (although this part of the reason why the battery life is so amazing so I can accept it)

Sadly mine is going back due to Bluetooth causing distortion when playing through the speaker; worked fine wired so this was definately the issue as my Samsung S6 sounds perfect via Bluetooth, even connecting it to the car the sound was poor and distorted. I may have received a faulty player as all other reviews has been quite fair about its capabilities.This has the same menu system as the A02 & A20 which my wife & I already own & have recently used on holiday, My main reason for this purchase was to use it wireless with a speaker on my next holiday. Well AGPTEK you have failed on this player for me.

Just wanted to say that I purchased this for use purely for music as opposed to rinsing my phone battery all the time, and Ive had it for a few days now it was same day delivered as im a prime member anyway though, came securely packaged and is a very smart 'little' player, works perfectly fine with my sony bluetooth headphones, and my sony bluetooth speaker! The sound quality is totally fine, and Im a DJ so very passionate about sound quality and volume, its easy to use, fast transferring of tracks, and links through bluetooth very quickly for fast pairing. Admittedly the earphones it came with arent great, but you get what you pay for, and i would of happily paid the same price JUST for the actual device, it has a lock button as well which is good so buttons never get pressed in pocket! The only downfalls to this player is you cant access main menu when listening to tracks with bluetooth products, and the fact you cant get radio when paired with bluetooth as it uses wired headphones as an aerial, but thats minor, who cares. And admittedly the instruction manual is printed very small, but its simple to work out anyway! And as i say ive had this for a few days now constantly, and only charged it up the first day i got it for a couple of hours, and the battery life is still going strong, probably on about 90% still judging from the battery icon. VERY GOOD PRODUCT for the price! It does exactly what its supposed to do.
