Perfect for for my old snapper rear engine rider, prefer the low back seat but can't seem to find them any more, low back seems more comfortable to me. Some snappers came with low , some with mid back

I bought this for a 1993 Craftsman tractor. It is a bit smaller than the original seat and the back is not as high. It is comfortable, and attachment/installation was simple. Not all of the original hardware was used, but it attaches snugly.

This is a nice seat, but it is to wide to use on a 2008 Bolens by MTD. It is too wide and would obstruct the controls on both sides. This seat also does not have 6" bolt pattern which most MTD equipment has, at least all 3 of my MTD tractors.

Mounted this on my old Craftsman Riding Mower. Had to drill one hole for the small bolt. The non-twist bolt threads in the seat are not in line with the main bolt. Now, I am going to have to see if I have to make the mounting bolts shorter. Or, the thread inserts in the seat are too thick/high. Maybe the cushion material is not thick/strong enough to keep you from having them poke your butt. They are poking my butt. And, it does not tickle.

I had to replace the seat on a 1989 Troy-Bilt 3214HR that we bought used, and the seat foam had separated from the steel pan, and the pan itself was rusting from being stored outside. The seat looks like the original, and probably looked exactly like the original, when the original was new. The seat was made by the same manufacturer that made the original. The seat mounting bracket on the tractor need two new holes drilled to attach the seat, but no wedges needed like on the seat we bought locally for our 1990 model which is the exact same thing except for some decal differences and a "S" at the end of the model number.

Great seat for the price. Had very little problem for attaching to seat bracket, just had to drill a couple of holes and I am now riding in comfort and my backside appreciates it!

Learned this the hard way - bought this due to the "universal" designation of the product for my Yard Machines mower. The holes didn't line up so I had to return it. The seat is big and fairly heavy, so the return shipping cost me $18+. Tried to get a refund from the seller but they would not refund the return. They did refund the original shipping cost. So, bottom line, it cost me $18+ plus the hassle of having to return it to find out that this really wasn't a "universal" seat. Also, I returned this on 6/29, but they did not process the refund for the original purchase price until I reminded them over 2 weeks later. Not sure how long it would have taken if I didn't send the reminder. Beware of the "universal" designation.
