Perfect BT earphones for everyday use, work & play at an attractive price point!
Highly Recommended! Over the past 2 years, I have bought 6 pairs of these JBL Tune 215BT earphones, for myself & my family members. They are a perfect workhorse earphones for both work & play. They are such a great deal, that I buy backup pairs just in case they run out of stock. I hope JBL does not stop the production of these amazing buds at this attractive price point.I've used many earphones (both wired, wireless neckband, wireless TWS) including Sony, JBL, Sennheiser, Panasonic, Apple, Samsung Galaxy Buds, OnePlus Bullets & Oppo Enco etc. However, the JBL Tune 215 BT are my default earphones. Here's why:1. For regular use, I prefer open ear design (a la original Apple earphones) rather than in-ear silicon tips. This helps me listen to my own voice better when speaking on calls. It also lets in a little outside noise, so that I'm not completely cut off from external stimuli (Eg: Ringing doorbell, public announcements in metro etc.)2. Good Sound Quality with decent bass. Not too over-powering like some of those cheap Chinese brands. Mids & treble are fine too, with a typical warm audio signature.3. Non-rigid neckband style unlike OnePlus Bullet series, so it remains more discreet and is barely noticable when not being used.4. I also prefer neckband over TWS, as you can simply unplug them and let it lay on your neck rather than carefully place both TWS stems back in their case. In short, the neckband design is more suited for everyday rough & tough use without worrying about misplacing them.5. Multi-point connectivity between 2 devices simultaneously. A premium feature that lets the earphones be connected to 2 devices at the same time. Extremely helpful for working people (connected to laptop & phone at the same time). Can also be used if you have 2 mobile phones, or a mobile phone and a tablet. For example, if you are watching a video on a laptop, but then got a call on your phone, you will be alerted and can seamlessly answer the call.6. Decent Battery Life.7. The buttons on a neckband are more useful & convenient than those on TWS due to the nature of their design. In the end, a proper pushy button will always be more intuitive than touch / tap gestures on TWS stems. This is an important feature for me as I have disabled Absolute Bluetooth volume in my Windows PC, so I need to have separate volume controls for any BT audio that I use.8. Good mic. Again the placement of the mic in neckband style design, means it is much closer to your mouth and will be able to capture your voice much clearer than TWS style stems, which are close to your ears. This is especially true in less than ideal conditions (wind noise, external disturbances etc.) and has helped me a lot in online meetings. In general, a neckand gives you the best of both worlds. The better reliability of old-school wired earphones as well as the move-freely handiness of BlueTooth technology.9. Very durable. I bought my 1st pair in 2021. After nearly 2 years, in 2023, I finally "retired" them and moved on to my 2nd pair. Although the audio was perfectly fine, the rubber eartips had worn out after 2 years of use & were peeling away. This reduced the ear canal seal thereby reducing the bass effect. Hence, I finally decided to "retire" them & write this review as an appreciation of thanks to JBL! :)

Not A Worth-It Purchase
I've used these headphones for about a year and here's what I have to say -• Sound quality : The sound quality is not as good as other earphones available in this price range. The bass is extremely weak and the volume is also low. The depth and details of sound is chopped down.• Battery life : The battery life is mediocre, again not as good as the other's in the price range. The earphones last about 4-6 hours continuously playing.• Headphone Eartip Quality : The Eartip quality of the headphone is very bad. The soft rubber layer over the Eartip came out only in a few weeks and it was really painful to wear after the cover wore down.• Wire quality : The wear quality is fine, nothing special, although the rubber parts holding the main eartips tore up quickly.• Value for Money : an absolute waste of money, I'd recommend to rather buy a pair of wired IEMs, they offer stunning sound quality in this price.

JBL Tune 215BT : Best neckband for those who want bass but not in ear buds, with mediocre mic.
Sound :The sound signature is Warm to almost V shaped and everything is clear even at max volume and low volume. Great for Indian songs and EDM and Rock. There is practically no passive noise cancellation but the neckband does get loud enough to drown out any noise and there isn't any kind of sound leakage upto 90% volume.Build and Fit:Solid build quality The wires are good and overall light weight coupled with the earpiece shape makes for a very comfortable listening experience for long hours. They fit well for even small ears and stay put no matter what you are doing. They are comfortable enough that you can sleep in them. They are low profile enough to fit in ears comfortable even while wearing a helmet. The raised power button is convenient when you want to activate assistant, and the double tap to activate assistant instead of long press is great so that you don't accidentally turn off the device.Connectivity :Generally low latency and Bluetooth 5.0 makes for a good experience but you can feel the lag while playing FPS if you look for it. The range is a huge improvement over bluetooth 4.0.Dual pairing works fine. When Switched ON the auto connect connects to both of the last paired devices automatically. But lets say you are connected to a phone and a laptop and you go out of laptop's range while you have the phone in hand with earphone then it won't reconnect to laptop automatically. Instead you will have to manually connect it on laptop from paired devices.Playback : There is no lag when switching devices when you receive calls on a different device than what you are listening to and it automatically paused the media playing on any device connected. If media is paused for over 5 seconds playing media in any of the two connected device begins instantaneously. But there is a 3 to 5 second interval depending on your device when switching media during continuous play back and it switches only when you pause the media thats already playing.Battery and charging : The battery last quite long. I don't have exact numbers but it lasted 4 hours in last 30% of charge with 50% volume.Type C charging is convenient and it takes about 100 minutes to fully charge on a 18W adapter with included cable.Mic quality : Clear but very low volume. defenitely not recomended if calling is your main purpose. There is no Enviroinmental Noise Canellation either(ENC).Things to kmow before buying:1. Not recommended for those who prefer neutral or balanced sound.2. There is no intimation or notification chime when a device is disconnected from the neckband or when it goes out of range.3. The auto connect does not connect to second paired device automatically if you the second device goes out of range and comes back and you have to manually connect it from second device's "Paired device list"4. When you play media on second device it doesn't pause the media playing on first device. But calls do pause any media playing from any device.5. The remote controls and charging port are on the right.6. No magnets on earpieces.7. Mediocre mic quality. My personal verdict : Definitely a great buy at INR 1,499.
