would this work on a glass lamp shade? I was hoping to add some stripes to it and use this rather than have to spray paint?

Hi, there. I've used them on walls, a couple of times, to do murals, but never on glass. They're good markers, and should work. If you're doing stripes, I assume that you will be masking off the area. This marker should make that easier, less messy than spraying, and you could double coat to get good opaqueness.
