It will do. Yes, I am thankful to finally get my hands on a cover for this Chicago Textiles chair after months, nay, years of searching. I even purchased fabric, took apart the old cover and enlisted the services of several seamstresses to make a new one to which they all said “I’m sorry but no. This is a beast of a cover.” So thank you, Howard Elliot, for making a neutral cover available for purchase.However, the polyester leaves room for wanting. I don’t like it. I know it’s going to suck to clean. I would think that $127 could get me a better quality of fabric. And frankly, the fabric I chose for my homemade cover before my dreams were shattered was much higher quality. All this leaves me wondering why anyone would really decide on this particular fabric for this chair cover.Yet, having a chair cover is better than not having a chair cover. Here’s to hoping they come out with an option in a higher quality fabric (that’s not scratchy linen or fake leather either).

2/25/2016: We have had our rocking butterfly chairs for 16 years and get compliments on them all the time. They were in need of new covers, however. I was hoping to replace the covers in an ecru-colored canvas like the originals, but could find only Howard Elliott covers, all but this one being made of polyester. Decided to go forward, and ordered two covers described as linen, without the interior padding.The covers came in two boxes surprisingly. More surprisingly they were completely unlike one another. I contacted Amazon and they immediately sent out a replacement for one of them. As there was no way to tell Amazon which was which, I waited til the replacement arrived and simply returned the one which didn't match. While a bit browner than our originals, they are lovely. We are very happy with the end result. Our chairs are once again comfortable and attractive.8/29/2019: I am updating my review as in searching for questions regarding washing (agh! spilled iced coffee all over one; we have two chairs with this cover) I noted comments that guessed the material wouldn't hold up. This is over three years from posting my first review and I would like to state that although being used every day these covers have held up extremely well. No, they are not like the originals - a heavy natural cotton, which I loved - but they are attractive and continue to look terrific. And btw, as I found stated under description, they are dry-clean only.

I have had both the Scroll rocking chair and Scroll ottoman for 20 years. My chair cover and ottoman cover had seen better days and were a color that was suitable for a child's room, because that's where we rocked our kids to sleep. Now that they are adults, new covers have made both the chair and ottoman perfect for a reading nook, in my sunroom. My adult children are still enjoying the chair...but they rock themselves.

3 1/2 starsPROS:1) Very easy to put on. My existing cover (which was washable) was impossible to put on. It was super snug.2) I have a new, neutral cover to replace a wild, floral pattern that no longer fits with our decor. I'm glad somebody makes these.CONS:1) The "Sterling Sand" color, which looks like the lightest in the photo (almost an ecru/ivory) is quite a bit darker, as others have mentioned. I will post a picture of it next to the back of my old cover. From the photo on Amazon, I figured "Sterling Sand" would look similar. Be aware of this (unless they wise up and switch the photo).2) The cover was very easy to put on, but not nearly as good a fit as the old cover was. It appears a bit lumpy and loose. (No, cushions do not come with the cover)3) This cover isn't machine washable. It is a polyester, somewhat icky material. I wish there were better materials, better colors and patterns, and that you could wash these things. This is the cat's chair most of the time, so it gets covered in fur.4) Not a great value for the price. But then again, I'm really glad somebody makes these. I doubt it would be hard to make one yourself if you knew how to sew. It's an oblong shape with a zipper and a piece of velcro inside.5) Who is "Howard Elliott," and why is his name dangling from a tag on the side of my slipcover?

Replaced my torn Elliott chair cover with this one & am quite happy with its fit, look & comfort. Moving the foam cushions from the old cover to the new takes some patience, but we’re good for another 15 years now..

It’s a little spendy but worth it once I got the new cover on the chair. Super sturdy and durable, makes the chair brand new again!

This is a well made cover. Fits my old cushion inserts perfectly. A bit expensive, in my opinion.I ordered the " charcoal. The color has a lot of brown in it. Not really a charcoal at all.

I have had my puff chair for 15 years. I finally decided to get a new cover, but was skeptical if it would fit. It fits perfectly! The material is so soft and it looks great in my son's nursery. Sad it took me 15 years to upgrade the cover!
