I own a 2013 Silverado 3500, and until I got this Powerbuilt Heavy Duty Tire Step for Trucks and SUV's I couldn't get up under the hood to check my oil or work on anything without dragging out a 3' step ladder or box! I'm a CDL-A Truck Driver. On occasion, I need access to the top of my engine. After hearing about these tire steps, I decided to buy one.This one...I'm not sure about. It feels like it's made more for pickup trucks than semi trucks.Also, the way it fits together is just kinda sloppy. There's a LOT of play in all the joints, and the nuts and bolts look like they're low grade steel.It's only rated at 300 pounds, so maybe the slop/play in the construction is okay, but I'm not sure how long everything will last. I might upgrade the bolts to Grade 8; I certainly will if I see any wear marks later.The main thing I'm concerned about is the width of the product, and the smallness of the amount of tire it's holding. I'd much prefer it to be about four inches wider, so it can grab more tire for stability. Again, the product is likely intended for pickup trucks; not CDL vehicles.Lastly, the product has no detents, and I didn't see any straps, Velcro, or anything else to keep it in its folded position. It kinda requires two hands to carry.As-is, it works. I was able to stand on it. But, I don't know how stable it really is.

This has made working on my truck so much easier, and I use it to set my diesel heater on in the winter while camping. Built strong and it folds flat for storage. Wish I had this years ago.

I own a RAM 2500, I'm 6 ft tall and still can barely reach the oil fill cap. I can't reach over the side of the bed without potentially scratching the paint, this step solves everything and folds up for easy storage, it's is well worth the money, im also 240lbs and it holds me just fine.
