Nearly Perfect Learning Program (BRAVO!)
This is a great product and is recommended publicly by Tim Ferris and other well-known polyglots in the entertainment industry. So many celebrities were swearing by this method—that’s actually how I originally heard about it.Many people do not prefer this learning set, because it is not a straight “repeat after me...” kind of deal. In this series, you’re listening to a “round table” of two students and a teacher go through the basics and intermediate levels of the Russian language in depth, even down to Russian customs in speaking and interacting with others in Russian culture, which is cool in my opinion. It’s literally a college class in CD-R form. The questions the two students ask are literally the questions I find myself having as I learn along with them as well in this informal classroom, so for me it works so perfectly. I, personally, hate just memorizing words with no context of pronunciation, cultural considerations, or dialogue practice, as is the case with the other big name brands that rhyme with Timsleur, Josetta Cone, and those famous youtube language channels. As I said, this is more of a group-learning, in depth education process. You will learn the language a little slower than other programs but you’ll KNOW it and won’t forget it at all after you’ve completed each lesson. You learn it in a way that has your brain associate and incorporate the language and culture in your everyday thought process. You’re not just memorizing flash cards - you’re actually learning a whole new way of life and speech pathology. If you plan on visiting Russia or being involved in a Russian community in any shape or form that would utilize fluency in the language, BUY THIS program. If you’re learning the language to pass a test or to impress your friends, you’ll find this boring and probably burdensome because the lessons are well over an hour or two long. The ONLY negative i have is that the lessons are on freakin CD Roms. it’s 2020, y’all. Who in the heck used CD Roms?! CDs literally stopped being utilized in products like five years ago. So that’s super annoying. My laptop won’t even play CD Roms. My new car doesn’t even have a CD player lol. So it’s SUPER annoying this doesn’t have a complimentary digital download. I have to have a friend with a PC transfer these stupid CDs to mp3’s in order to play them.If you have a PC or a mac or vehicle with a CD player, this is perfect. Still worth their $125 and little work to listen to it, in my opinion.

Love it.
If you don't learn Russian with this method.... Just give up.... And I'm saying this in the best way possible.Natasha puts the language so simple, easy to follow, that would be almost impossible to say that Russian is a hard language. (and in some ways much easier and simpler than our intricate English language)It's all about consistency and practice folks and put your 100% to learn. Thanks Natasha and the team who came up with this product. Really amazing.

Might recommend
I found this CD to be more at a beginner rather than an intermediate level. Although some parts of it are helpful in terms of learning vocabulary and sentence structure, the students they use have very strong accents that sometimes make it difficult to understand what is being said. Might recommend for someone just starting to learn Russian, but even then, I think that the Michel Thomas vocabulary builder CD is more effective.

Speak complex sentences in 20 minutes
I have the Michel Thomas series in several languages. I use them to study for a few weeks before traveling internationally. I was able to converse adequately, and that asved me many times when I found myself in a predicament with no English speakers to be seen!

Great Method, Horrible Price
The method is engaging and the instructor has a great style of explaining things. But this course does NOT cover very much considering the steep price. It doesn't even really cover as much as the Youtube channel called Amazing Russian which is for free. People who pay this kind of price DESERVE far more for what they pay and they can get far more elsewhere for a much more decent price. The price is an injustice to the worthiness of the method and approach here, which more people could use, if the price weren't such an abuse of people's desire to find good means of learning the language. I recommend boycotting this product and any products like it, until they are no longer sold for such exorbitant, greedy prices.

Schlechte Aussprache

This was a perfect supplement for me to Pimsleur which I had already completed. The course starts to explain the structure of the language which Pimsleur does not attempt to do. The teacher and classroom style is excellent. This has improved not only my promounciation but also my understanding of Russian grammar filling in a lot of gaps left by Pimsleur and laying a great foundation to progress even further. I cannot recommend it highly enough
