Not for the 1240a
Does NOT fit the RLC-1240a. I bought this because the AI question/answer said someone bought it and it fit the RLC-1240a. This is incorrect. I purchased it, it does not fit. It is well made, and it does not say on the package that it fits, so I will not give it a low rating. I ended up drilling a couple holes and mounting the camera at an offset to make it work.

A tad expensive but really makes a tidy, professional camera install
A tad expensive but really makes a tidy, professional camera install, especially when you cannot take the PoE cable through the wall to the camera. The screw holes are clearly labelled for each camera and it comes with the right screws- but only just enough so be careful not to drop them. You also get a template for screwing it to the wall. Expensive but worth the money.

VERY waterproof.
Had an older Reolink camera with triangular holes - that didn't quite match up with the ones listed as compatible. By using a larger drill, I opened the holes in the camera up so they matched close enough and did a mount. Looks fine and very tight enclosure that was easy to mount. A bit expensive, but perfect for the job.

Too universal. Holes upon holes!
While it will work as intended I don't like the maze of extra holes and a decal to cover most of them up. For the price it should be more camera specific. If you have a large base camera such as Vandal Proof it should work fine. I'm installing a RLC-810WA bullet cam and it will be facing south into the sun. I don't have much confidence in the decal surviving too long. Otherwise I have been pleased with Reolink products.

Works with the Newer Reolink 1240-A camera
Comes with many pre-drilled and tapped holes to mount most of the Reolink Cameras to hide your wires. Even though its not on Reolinks Compatibility list ( they don't have one available yet as of this writing) I also found that it works with the newer Reolink RLC-1240 camera , but not perfect.Because the camera is not round, somewhat oddly triangularly shaped, it sticks out a tiny bit on each side. But I didn't think it was a problem. I also used this for my other Cameras.

A bit pricey
A bit pricey given the very good pricing of Reolink cameras. Slightly different than photo - lid has many partial holes (obviously for other models) and a sticker showing the ones actually drilled and tapped. Sticker needs to be removed if installing in possibly wet areas.Perfect fix; makes for a very nice and neat install of Reolink cameras without leaving the connector pigtail on the camera exposed. Will be buying more.If installing outside, I recommend putting a bead of caulk on the bottom of the camera before screwing it to thejunction box.
