I studied the ingredients of supplement providers like the late
One of the most immediately impactful herbs I have ever experienced. I studied a ton of reviews and warnings concerning the effects, positive and negative. I studied the ingredients of supplement providers like the late, great Master Teacher Dr. Sebi, and I know that he advocated for chapparal, so I had to make a decision to just go for it. My health is strong and my liver is in good shape, as far as I know. I brewed it as a tea, and upon my first gulp, it was an experience like none I have ever had before. The taste is unique, powerful, creosote, fresh poured asphalt in the summer. Rough...and I am an experienced supplement consumer...this stuff is up there on my list of experiences I won't soon forget. But with all of these herbs, more than taste- a person striving for higher heights in their health...is not concerned with the flavor, they will deal with bad taste, as long as there are positive, perceptible results. I ride 25-40 miles more or less every day, weather permitting, in bike commuting, so I am always well aware of my energy levels, mood, intensity, stamina, etc. From what I can tell, chaparral helped clean me out, guts, bladder, blood..and that helps my body devote more energy to doing work. I believe these herbs have high naturally delivered contents of minerals, and therefore I believe they help the body rebuild its own cells, and have access to pure, rich mineral content, which is almost totally absent in the average person's daily food intake. Starwest Botanicals is always amazing, so I don't feel a need to gush on about their pricing, shipping or customer service- they are already well regarded as among the industry leaders, and I have experienced no perceptible drop off in their offerings. If you are seeking increased health, I say try it, but in moderation, to start. Cheers!..and NO, I am never compensated for any reviews- I am a real person, discovering this path, just like most of you.

Good dried chaparral
I've been using this to infuse olive oil to use as my sun protection. It's working great, so much better for me than regular sunscreen. I also make a tea with it to drink once in a while for detox.

Powerful herb with powerful taste!
I used chaparral years ago doing a herbal detox and not so fondly remember the strong potent aroma. But I knew it was a great herb and recently due to a health concern I remembered the herb book I had read with the detox recipe in it, so I searched Amazon for a good source. I have a long history using Starwest Botanicals and was happy to see that they had it and at such a reasonable price on Amazon for the amount you get! This amount filled a 1/2 gallon mason jar, which will last a long long time if kept tightly closed. It's one of the most powerful herbs for blood cleansing there is. You should start slow at 1 teaspoon as a tea and under doctors care if you have any sort of liver condition as it is that strong. It's been touted as a cancer killer and much more. Do your research before using. Herbs are amazing plants but they are not just simply plants, they are plant medicine that have been used for thousands of years and deserve our respect.

I like it as an air freshener
Spray it around for freshening the air and making your house smell like the desert!Just simmer a tablespoon in a pint of water down to half the liquid, strain and then simmer it down to half again. Add a Tbsp of vodka and keep in the fridge. Mix a little at a time in a little spritzer bottle and spray around the kitchen, bath and bedroom - and into your trash bins when you empty them. Or, google and learn how to make it into incense. I've never done it with chaparral, specifically, but I bet you could!

Great as mouth wash, for hair and skin problems, and to make immune system stronger
Smell is awful, taste is awful too, but smell is worse. It smells like burned plastic and tastes like a bit bitter weirdly unpleasant taste. Not something you would drink for pleasure. I also eat one moringa seed a day, and that one tastes awful too, but in different kind of way. Once you get into herbs, your taste buds will be challenged in many ways...Anyway, I got it for several uses. One - as mouthwash, because it kills bacteria and virus very effectively, and many sources for natural teeth remineralization recommend it. I am just going to make a strong tea for that and dilute it with warm water t rinse. I hope that my son will use it for that too, but we shall see, how that goes with chaparral taste.Second, I am planning to use it to get rid of dandruff and generally improve hair health. It also helps with eczema and other skin irritations as compress or salve. And third -as a immune herb for colds/coughs and such.

Great!
I purchased this product for a cleansing purpose and it worked wonders! If interested in the cleanse look at 10 Essential Herbs by Lalitha Thomas. I have no affiliation with the author, just a person who had great results from cleanse. Chaparral tastes gnarley but its medicinal properties are amazing.
