Do the blades cut on the down stroke or up stroke?

To be honest, I've never thought about it and as the blade moves up and down so quickly, it is difficult to tell by just looking. I actually think that it would be "both", as the teeth appear to be sharp on both sides. Certainly, when using a hand saw, you get cutting in both directions and I would have thought the principles were the same. That's all I can say.

What is a rip guide ?

A rip guide is a fixed straight guide for the saw to rest up against to maintain a straight cut over the length of the cut

Does it have a dust blower facility

It does have an exhaust nozzle you clip on the back which I assume you can connect a dust bag to. Can’t say mine actually came with a dust bag so again I’m assuming that is something you buy separately. I used mine out in the garden with plenty of breeze so I couldn’t say how well the extraction works. For the price I thought it was a good buy and did me proud though,
