Recessed Toilet Paper Holder with Rear Mounting Bracket, Satin Nickel

Very good build quality and relatively easy installation overall.After years of having to adjust, remount or replace a traditional holder we broke down and bought this.The box came with 2 long screws, an instruction sheet, a metal backplate and the holder + spring rod. I found it rather simple to install as well as you only need a phillips screwdriver, a level and pencil, a stud finder, a box cutter and maybe some tape or drywall compound:1) Using a Stud Finder, I identified an area of 5"x5" not next to a wood beam or "stud" and verified the cavity would be deep enough for the holder.2) Using the level and pencil, I traced out where I wanted to cut out the specified dimensions.3) Using a box cutter, I cut along my lines and pulled out the piece of drywall/sheetrock.4) I then inserted the holder into the cavity to ensure my dimensions were correct, cutting out additional slices to accommodate the new holder.5) Using some compound, I filled in bits of the wall area I cut out to make sure it does not weaken and then covered the edges with tape (see image).6) As per the instructions, I put the screws through and threaded it into the backplate a bit, then diagonally inserted it into the cavity.7) This will take some patience, but once it is fitted, you will need to screw in the screws without causing the backplate to slip from where it is positioned. I recommend pre-threading the screws into the backplate as much as you can while still allowing it to fit into the cavity as it will make it easier to keep tension on the backplate while tightening it into place.8) If you want a bit more reinforcement, you can add some more compound behind the holder right before tightening it into place.9) Finally, make sure it is snug, but not overly tight as this uses pressure between the holder and backplate to keep it in place.Hope this helps someone out! Love how it looks and ordered another one for my other bathroom.

Fit well

Looks good and easy to install. It is lighter weight than the one I replaced, but still seems durable. Fits my bigger toilet paper rolls.
