Le Creuset Stoneware 16-Ounce Citrus Juicer, Soleil

Looks pretty however it could stand to have a strainer in it. No way to keep the pulpy chunks out.

This is much better than what I thought it would be heavy and durable

This juicer is both beautiful and functional. I love to juice the traditional way... no machines for me. This gets the job done and looks great on the shelf!

Use the juicer all the time. Good weight.

This is a good hand juicer for making fresh lemon aid quickly.How-ever ~ it doesn't entirely remove all the juice in the very bottom of the lemon half.This 16 oz juicer will hold a full cup of juice below the level of the peeling of a typical half (1 3/4")of a lemon, therefore the bowl doesn't often need emptied.I received this at Christmas because my family knows how much I love all things Le Creuset.Although this juicer does a decent job on lemons ~ and I hate to say this ~ it's not very good on larger fruit.We tried to juice oranges and grapefruit & found it to be a lost cause.The center juicing mound is taller (3 1/4") and more narrow then other / & older juicersand the humps / ribs are softly rounded with shallow valleys so they don't grate out the juice very well.Especially the top one inch of the mound.We have my moms old glass juicer, it's the standard every day hand juicer that used to be in most kitchen cupboards.The effectiveness of the older juicer is what we've been used to ~ with sharper humps & deeper valleys ~and the effectiveness of this one pales in comparison.This stoneware juicer is a well made ~ attractive product.It can be used in the microwave ~ oven to 500 degrees ~ dishwasher safe ~ & has a five yr warranty.
