The Batman Children's Costume was a hit with my son. The stretchy material made it easy to get on and off, and the fit was perfect - not too tight or loose. My son loved pretending to be his favorite superhero and wore it for Halloween and playtime. Overall, this was a great, affordable costume that I would highly recommend it.

I was worried this would be a really cheap costume but it is surprisingly durable and my almost 4 year old LOVES it. The fit is great too (size S4-6 for a soon-to-be average size 4 year-old). I did go with the advice of another review and purchased a better mask. The separate mask is great but of course my son wants to wear the mask that came with the costume with the additional mask on top. Ha! The excitement on his face when he put on this costume was priceless so I'd say this was worth every penny.

Do not throw the mask in the washer. It'll fall apart. Bummer because it got very sweaty and needed a wash but foam came out and now it's just material.

My 2 year old (he has an older brother) is into Batman, actually obsessed. We got him this outfit for Christmas as he was borrowing the cape from his cousin's Halloween costume. We decided to go with this outfit instead of the toddler choice as he is on the cusp of sizes and this way we knew it would last longer. The costume is big, but the arms and legs roll up and stay nicely. The body part fits pretty well even though he is slim. He loves the hood/mask as the ears stand up perfectly and it comes over his eyes but he can also push it up to his forhead and it stays in place. My only complaint is that when I read the description before purchase, it said the hood and cape were one piece, which they aren't. The hood ties under his chin, the cape goes over his neck and ties in the back and the costume ties in the back. He has three bows around his neck region. The tie from the hood does seem to tickle his chin a bit, but overall I don't think he cares. However, this freaks me out as if someone steps on the cape (which does reach the floor) it will pull him back by the neck. The cape he was borrowing was one piece and velcroed by his chin which broke away when the cape was stepped on. Other than that I am happy to have it and he loves it.

He is in a size 4, it was a little big (we bought small) but not too big he couldn't wear it. He ran around and around and was very pleased

I ordered a large based on the equivalent sizes on the website stating that it would fit, but when it arrived, the large was actually 2 sizes too big. So I needed to order a medium and will just keep the large for play clothes next year.

September 21st Update:My son has been dressing up in his batman costume daily for a week now, so here's the scoop:The costume depicted shows finished edges. The picture on the cardboard insert has finished edges. No finished edges on the one we received. May not be an issue if this is only for Halloween, but if your child wants to play dress up, it's going to fray.The size on Amazon says 4-6. The cardboard insert with the costume says "USA Small 4-6". Then directly underneath a checked box, it says "For 3-4 years". What the?????Best to check out sizes in person at Target and/or a Halloween store. Looks like the "muscle chest batman" costume DOES have finished edges, but we haven't tried it on and can't speak to the quality.Still my son's favorite dress up costume of choice.September 14th:Just gave our son this costume tonight. He's almost 4 and about 42 inches tall. The body of the suit (size 4-6) fits him perfectly.As for the cape/mask, it's on the small side and could not be worn as shown. We may have to send back for a bigger mask.But more than anything, he LOVES being Batman and this costume was a BIG hit.

Got it for my three year old grandson. It may fit next year, but it'll be close, so I really wouldn't buy it for a five year old (I thought the sizing nomenclature was kinda confusing). He looks so cute in it. The mask was a little awkward, but not terrible.--and now it's after Christmas (so two months later), and this costume is still worn for play. I'm amazed it's been so durable. Both grandsons love it.
